The Care Support Team maintains a dedicated focus on ensuring members and providers are incredibly satisfied with the Spring Health platform by coordinating various aspects of care delivery. The Temporary Care Support Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for our valued covered lives, members and providers, providing exceptional support and assistance through inbound and outbound communication channels included but not limited to an estimated 7 hours managing inbound calls, email, and chat platform, and ensuring timely and accurate service that exceeds our customer's expectations. Job Description Summary: Safe Horizon manages a 5-year grant by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to raise the standard of care for traumatized children in New York City. REACH focuses on school-aged children and older through the implementation of anti-oppressive, age-appropriate trauma interventions. The Director SAMHSA Child Trauma Initiatives is responsible for integrating the staff development and direct service components of REACH to facilitate their implementation in Safe Horizon’s child trauma cluster which includes our Safe Horizon Counseling Center (SHCC), Child Advocacy Centers (CACs), Child Trauma Response Team (CTRT), and Safe Way Forward (SWF) program. The Director will continue to serve as Principal Investigator (PI) of REACH initiative. They will be responsible for the activities of the program to provide all our clients, school-age children up to age 17 and their families, with a service experience while maintaining data collection systems, evaluation programs, and maintaining full compliance with all federal regulations and reporting requirements for the program The Director also ensures the implementation of effective evaluation measures and completion of all client-level assessments and data gathering that is required for REACH. The Director will report to and collaborate regularly with the Vice President Children and Mental Health on REACH administration activities. Responsibilities: The Director is responsible for the design, launch, administration, evaluation, reporting, and outcomes of REACH while maintaining this child trauma program that includes influencing city-wide systems and practice enhancements in collaboration with national child trauma model developers, government partners, and an array of internal stakeholders to ensure the success of these initiatives. Operating out of Kings County Criminal Court, Brooklyn Justice Initiatives is a team of social service providers, court-based resource coordinators, and others who seek to improve the quality of justice. By providing meaningful pre-trial supervised release and post-conviction sentencing options, Brooklyn Justice Initiatives seeks to use an arrest as a window of opportunity to change the direction of a participant’s life and avoid the harmful effects of incarceration. Brooklyn Justice Initiatives is seeking a Compliance Specialist. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the Compliance Specialist will implement and execute strategies to ensure accurate compliance tracking and reporting for the Supervised Release team at BJI. The Compliance Specialist will also assist all Brooklyn Justice Initiatives with compliance concerns, audits, and data collection and entry. The Compliance Specialist will ensure programmatic deliverables are being met and provide both internal feedback and written updates to the Court including defense attorneys, Assistant District Attorneys, clerks, and Judges on a regular basis. Reporting to the Senior Social Worker of Jail Diversion, the Social Worker, will be responsible for conducting independent clinical assessments and drafting treatment recommendations for defendants being held in pretrial detention. The Social Worker will conduct these assessments and complete these treatment plans according to a strict timeline, ensuring that the process is completed as quickly as possible. The goal is to provide information that will enable defense attorneys, prosecutors, and judges to resolve cases as quickly as possible, significantly reducing the time people spend in pretrial detention. An essential and dynamic feature of the Social Worker’s role will be close collaboration with key external stakeholders.
