Job Description Territory Sales Representative Location: Territory - North Jersey, NYC, Long Island, Orange, Rockland, Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess Counties, with some accounts in CT, RI, and MA Company Overview We are a Process Controls distributor with a 75-year legacy and a strong reputation for long-term customer relationships. We currently have an immediate opening for a territory sales representative to take over a well-established region covering North Jersey through New England. About the Territory This position will be posted in Newark, NJ, but the sales territory includes: • North Jersey, • New York City, • Long Island, • Orange, Rockland, Westchester, Putnam & Dutchess Counties What You’ll Do • Manage and grow a large, established customer base across a multi-state territory, • Build strong, long-term relationships with existing accounts, • Prospect and open new accounts as opportunities arise, • Conduct regular in-person visits (this role involves significant driving), • Occasionally stay overnight in company-paid, quality hotels as travel requires, • Communicate clearly with customers—both verbally and in writing—to ensure strong ongoing support, • A highly ambitious, self-starter who puts customers first, • Someone who thrives with minimal supervision, • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a large, diverse territory, • A pleasant, personable demeanor—people buy from people they like, • Technical familiarity with electronics, sensors, or test equipment is a big plus, • Military veterans (especially nuclear Navy) are strongly encouraged to apply, • Base salary, • Healthcare, • Monthly commissions from dollar one invoiced, • No quotas and no shifting goalposts, • No call reports once established in the role, • Monthly car allowance
