For this Queens, NY position the expected base salary is $120,000.00 to $130,000.00 / year. Major Responsibilities: Program Development • Manage continued growth of OTI's CASAC certificate program operations and other associated products and services (i.e., test prep, professional development training) in all OTI locations and virtually., • Oversee Outreach University, including the development and delivery of training for Outreach staff, in consultation with senior staff and executives, to ensure the meeting of organizational goals, and the promotion of staff development and retention., • Consult with organizations about their staff development needs and design and arrange appropriate training., • Regularly conduct training in Outreach University, the OTI CASAC Program, in contracts with external customer agencies, and those required by grant funding the agency receives., • Seek opportunities to expand the reach of the Training Institute through the development of new training products and services., • Improve the quality and comprehensiveness of the CASAC certificate program, professional development training and Outreach University through the incorporation of training on evidence-based treatment interventions into the curriculum and innovative teaching approaches., • Regularly review and make curriculum changes/additions to ensure the highest quality training and suitability for various training modalities, i.e., in-person and virtual training., • Seek to develop new lines of business for OTI that serve a need in the field and are financially self-sustaining., • Develop programming to improve overall program retention, internship and job placement., • Improve the effectiveness of the Career Services Component of the CASAC diploma program (i.e., increase job placement specifically for low income and ACCES-VR cohorts, improve CASAC T certification rates, increase % of graduates who take and pass the CASAC exam). Administration & Management • Ensure compliance with all OASAS and other applicable regulations related to training products and services., • Supervise administrative and teaching staff., • Administer and direct processes for current grants while assisting with new grant and funding acquisition., • Ongoing monitoring and evaluation of training deliveries and trainers., • Oversight of systems from the admission of a student through program completion and beyond. Personnel & Budget • Oversee all budgetary matters of the training institute including costs related to staff, consultants, marketing, supplies, etc., • Effectively manage staff to ensure daily operations as well as compliance with agency fiscal and administrative procedures., • Expand the number of qualified trainers and training deliveries., • Develop and monitor relationships with wholesale referral services and utilize these to effectively market the program., • Monitor product demand and problem solve admission issues., • Participate in internal and external training, conferences and committees that have a bearing on OTI's products., • Prepare and present training materials at conferences and events as directed by Executive Management. Position Summary: The Director, Manufacturing Engineering (ME Director) is responsible for supporting business goals including product cost and quality, schedule adherence and delivery on-time to customer demand. It is a hands-on position that is responsible for ensuring the manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment support the Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity goals of the business. The Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of the shelter facility. The Operations Manager oversees all maintenance, custodial, and facilities support functions to maintain a safe and hospitable environment for clients and staff. This includes direct involvement in day-to-day maintenance tasks, team coordination, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Essential Functions: • Perform and oversee daily cleaning of common areas, restrooms, hallways, stairwells, and building exteriors., • Floor care (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, buffing) and surface sanitation according to shelter protocols., • Conduct minor repairs, painting, patching, and general upkeep of facility interiors and exteriors., • Assist with moving furniture, supplies, and client belongings; support intake and client discharge as needed., • Maintain exterior grounds (snow/ice removal, trash collection, landscaping, storm. etc.)., • Ensure proper disposal of trash and recyclables in accordance with health and safety standards., • Identify, document, and report all maintenance issues through established work order systems., • Respond promptly to emergency facility needs or weather-related incidents., • Replace and repair minor plumbing, electrical, lighting, and hardware components., • Maintain inventory and restock hygiene and cleaning supplies as needed., • Follow all safety protocols, including the use of protective equipment and posting of appropriate signage., • Maintain professional boundaries and uphold client confidentiality., • Comply with all federal, state, city, and agency-level regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA requirements., • May be required to respond to emergency facility issues outside of scheduled hours., • Other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • High school diploma or equivalent required., • Minimum of 3–5 years of DHS Shelter Operations experience., • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role., • Demonstrated experience in facilities management, maintenance, or custodial services, preferably in a residential or shelter setting., • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, complete work orders, and document maintenance activities., • Must be able to lift and carry items, perform physical labor, and operate basic tools and cleaning equipment., • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed., • Strong organizational skills, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: • Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) a plus., • First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain., • Certification in overdose prevention or willingness to obtain., • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry preferred. Work Environment: This job operates in a homeless shelter and works with a population who may experience mental illness, substance use, disability, HIV/AIDS, and other chronic illnesses Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, climb stairs and/ or kneel.
