Job Description Job Title: Material Handler Job Description The Material Handler moves, stages, and prepares inventory and materials to support installation teams in a large warehouse environment. This role uses pallet jacks and hand tools to move materials, conducts inventory counts, and completes basic documentation to ensure accurate tracking and smooth project execution. Responsibilities • Move and stage inventory and materials throughout the warehouse using a hand pallet jack and other material handling equipment., • Prepare and organize materials so installation teams have everything ready for upcoming projects., • Perform regular inventory counts and document material movements to maintain accurate records., • Handle and transport heavy materials safely, following all safety procedures and guidelines., • Use hand and power tools to assist with basic assembly, repair, or preparation of materials as needed., • Support general production and warehouse activities, including loading, unloading, and organizing materials., • Read and follow basic instructions and documentation to complete daily tasks accurately., • Collaborate with installers, advisors, and other team members to ensure materials are delivered to the correct locations on time., • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations., • Experience with material handling in a warehouse, construction, industrial, or production environment., • Ability to operate a hand pallet jack safely and efficiently., • Capability to perform extensive physical labor, including heavy lifting and standing or walking for most of the shift., • Familiarity with general production or general labor tasks., • Comfort using basic hand and power tools for material handling, assembly, or repair tasks., • Basic understanding of inventory processes, including counting and simple documentation., • Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn equipment and processes quickly., • Strong attendance and reliability, with a consistent track record of showing up on time and completing scheduled shifts., • Experience working on large warehouse or distribution center projects, including projects for major e-commerce facilities., • Experience in construction, carpentry, industrial maintenance, repair, or assembly., • Exposure to reading and following blueprints or technical drawings., • Experience with quality assurance, installation support, maintenance, or troubleshooting in an industrial setting., • Previous work on Amazon-related projects is a plus. Work Environment This role is based inside a large, active warehouse facility with many moving parts and ongoing projects. You work closely with installation teams and advisors in an industrial setting that requires constant awareness of your surroundings. The schedule typically runs Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed, for approximately 8–10 hours per day. The work is physically demanding and involves extensive walking, lifting, and handling of materials. The dress code includes steel-toe footwear, jeans, and a work shirt, suitable for a hands-on, industrial environment where safety and practicality are essential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pooler, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
