From breaking news to emerging trends, we deliver stories that matter, shaped by robust measurement and a deep understanding of digital platforms The Role Reporting to the Head of Audience in London and based in our New York office, you will play a critical role in growing Caliber Inc.s brand audiences across social channels including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Substack, and X. You will have prior experience managing and growing audiences for brands (building them from scratch is a plus) and be deeply connected to internet culture across a wide range of communities - from niche Discord servers to leading TikTok creators. Youll be the champion for the audiences we want to reach, driving overall reach while maintaining strong engagement. Youll be confident using key performance metrics to guide newsrooms and brand marketing clients on how to create stories that resonate. You will support the business in three key ways: • Sharing audience insights (owned and target) to inform our approach to storytelling and coverage., • Advising on daily and long-term news agendas by identifying trending conversations across platforms., • Using your expertise in social algorithms and trends to share knowledge across the business. To succeed in this role, youll need to be a curious, empathetic, and an engaged listener with a passion for making an impact through storytelling. Youll be self-motivated and hold yourself accountable for producing work that drives the growth of The News Movement. Day to Day, You Will: • Work with the newsroom to inform daily and weekly trending conversations across platforms., • Partner closely with the social data analyst to connect reporting and performance, and to guide future content decisions., • Research and analyse social audiences to identify and evolve primary and secondary audiences for our owned brands (The News Movement, The Recount, and Capsule) and for our clients., • Track the performance of owned channels and translate analysis into actionable insights., • Spot content, creators, and formats that are trending and help newsrooms and clients integrate those trends into their strategies. This includes active monitoring of social and search trends, as well as real-time sentiment., • Evolve content, social, and marketing strategies developing growth levers and collaborating with key stakeholders to meet performance goals., • Drive thought leadership that can inform trend reports used by sales teams, newsrooms, and clients., • Help build close-knit, engaged communities online and offline that foster a true sense of belonging and brand loyalty., • Support the audience growth of our D2C news app, SaySo. About You • 35 years of experience developing and growing audiences, with a proven track record of driving organic growth through social strategy. Success metrics include followers, average views per post, retention, and engagement., • A social native whos genuinely very online a trendspotter who can distinguish the signal from the noise and turn insights into action., • Deep understanding, both personally and professionally, of major and emerging social platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, YouTube Shorts, Substack, Reddit, X, Discord, Twitch, Facebook, and LinkedIn., • Experience producing and editing content., • Highly proficient in social analytics (native and third-party platforms), social listening tools (e.g. Brandwatch, Sprinklr), and trend/audience research tools., • Well-informed about media trends, technology, and the competitive landscape., • Experienced in stakeholder management and collaboration. Nice to have: • Familiarity with U.S. politics and the surrounding social landscape., • Experience building social and in-person communities., • Paid social experience.
