Job DescriptionEvents Operations Administrative Associate (Temp | NYC) LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Events Operations Administrative Associate on behalf of a respected nonprofit research and policy organization in New York City. This role supports the Meetings & Events Operations Team. The ideal candidate is polished, professional, highly organized, and comfortable supporting senior leaders, Board members, and complex governance workflows. Position Overview The Events Operations Administrative Associate will provide governance, logistical, and administrative support to Board-related activities, committee operations, and internal executive coordination. This is a detail-heavy, deadline-driven role requiring strong communication skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple timelines simultaneously. Key Responsibilities Governance & Board Support • Assist with preparation and distribution of Board and Committee materials, • Support Board cycles, deadlines, and document coordination, • Help prepare briefing books, agendas, minutes, and follow-up documentation, • Liaise with senior leadership and Board members as neededProject & Meeting Management, • Track deliverables across multiple stakeholders, • Manage timelines, version control, and document workflows, • Coordinate logistics for high-level meetings and Board-related events, • Provide administrative support to the Meetings & Events Operations teamExecutive Communication & Documentation, • Draft, edit, and format agendas, minutes, correspondence, and briefing materials, • Synthesize information quickly with clarity and accuracy, • Maintain polished, concise, professional written communicationsConfidentiality & Professionalism, • Manage sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion, • Demonstrate sound judgment and a calm, organized demeanor under pressureSystems & Tools, • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for document creation and management, • Maintain organized digital files and ensure strict version control, • Experience with Board portals (Diligent, BoardEffect, etc.) is a plusPreferred Background, • Experience supporting Boards of Directors, Board Committees, or executive leadership teams, • Nonprofit experience strongly preferred, • Event operations or meeting logistics exposure, • Understanding of governance processes or compliance (nice-to-have), • Polished communication and professional demeanorSchedule & Compensation, • On-site | New York City, • Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, • 6-month temporary assignment (potential to adjust), • Compensation: Open/commensurate with experienceHow to Apply Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit their résumé to be considered.
