Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused 2nd Shift Forklift Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to support production, shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial manufacturing environment and be comfortable performing a variety of warehouse and material movement tasks as business needs require. Key Responsibilities • Safely operate forklifts to move raw materials, finished goods, and production supplies throughout the facility., • Load and unload trucks in a timely and efficient manner., • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and report discrepancies., • Transport materials to and from production areas to support manufacturing operations., • Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock reconciliation activities., • Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems and/or handheld scanners., • Stage materials for production and customer shipments., • Inspect forklifts and material-handling equipment before each shift and report maintenance concerns., • Ensure materials are properly stored and organized within designated warehouse locations., • Assist with general warehouse housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe work environment., • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations., • Support shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations as needed., • Perform other forklift-related duties and material-handling tasks as assigned. Qualifications • High school diploma or GED preferred., • Previous forklift operating experience; manufacturing or industrial experience preferred., • Forklift certification preferred, • Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes., • Ability to read and understand shipping documents, work orders, and inventory records., • Basic computer skills and experience using inventory or warehouse management systems preferred., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team., • Dependable attendance and punctuality. Physical Requirements • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally., • Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels., • Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment for extended periods.
