Job DescriptionDescription: Department: Engineering Reports To: General Manager / Chief Engineer Status: Non-Exempt Job Summary The Preventative Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all hotel systems, equipment, and guest rooms are maintained in excellent working order through proactive and scheduled maintenance. This position plays a key role in minimizing downtime, improving guest satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with brand and safety standards. The Preventative Maintenance Engineer will execute daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance programs, complete room and system inspections, and document all findings and repairs. The role also includes responding to guest maintenance requests, assisting with minor repairs, and supporting the Chief Engineer in maintaining the overall facility in top operational condition. Qualification Standards Education & Experience • High school diploma or equivalent required., • Minimum 2 years of general maintenance or engineering experience; hotel experience strongly preferred., • Trade license or certification (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry) preferred., • Valid driver’s license required with acceptable driving record.
