Eataly is not a chain; each Eataly is different, with its own character and own theme – but all with the same aim... for our guests to: • EAT authentic Italian food at our restaurants, cafés and to-go counters, • SHOP a selection of high-quality Italian, local and homemade products, • LEARN through our classes and our team’s product knowledgeJob Description JOB OVERVIEW The Sr Manager of Facilities is responsible to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and within regulatory guidelines and projected deadlines; prepare and manage the annual budgets for maintenance, and custodial departments; and ensuring optimal utilization of personnel and other resources. Reports to VP of Operations. • Coordinates and manages all Facilities Departments across Eataly North America. Participate on the definition and hiring process of the Facilities organization of Eataly north America stores., • Coordinates schedules and special event operations for the purpose of ensuring required facilities preparation, • Develops long and short term maintenance plans/programs for the purpose of ensuring the seamless functionality of store facilities systems such as HVAC, refrigeration, etc., • Directs projects (store repairs/construction, preventative maintenance, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring completion within established time frames, project design and budget, • Inspects new construction, repair work, projects, equipment, work orders, daily maintenance and supplies for the purpose of ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently; specifications for major capital improvements are within local/state/federal regulations; and approving inspection reports and payment requests, • Monitors all expenses and finances for all facilities-related activities and purchases for the purpose of ensuring that expenses are within budget limits and/or fiscal practices are followed, • Participates in meetings, workshops and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform all duties, • Assists in developing annual OpEx budgets for each store and the corporate office, presenting them to senior leadership for approval, • Sources and develops relationships with vendors; negotiates agreements and prices; ensures efficient procurement and logistics; management, negotiation, organization and supervision of contractors work (preventive maintenance, repairs and projects)., • Partners with the stores to perform cost analysis and to improve efficiencies and margins: establishes and enforces policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); provides trends and forecasts; defines and monitors results via Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), • Collaborates regularly with the Store Directors, Business Planning Analysts, Facilities Managers, Human Resources and other relevant team members, • Supervises all general facilities and maintenance activity for the stores in direct collaboration with the Store Directors to define priorities and needs. Develops facility/maintenance standards and partners with in-store management to implement., • Partners with the Design and Construction Team to define the stores’ capital expenditures activity related to facilities and maintenance, • Oversees all maintenance projects – including those involving construction and redesign – from budgeting to execution in partnership with the Store Directors and the Design and Construction Team, • Responsible for working with Construction team on managing capital Improvements budgets; responsible for all CapEx purchasing for all extraordinary maintenance and equipment projects including coordination and logistics of delivery to ensure project milestones are achieved., • Performs other duties as required or assignedQualifications QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelors degree in Facilities Engineering or related field, • 5+ years’ experience supervising facilities/engineering management at a large-scale, multi-unit operation preferred. Preferably in supermarkets and restaurants operations, • In-depth knowledge of all technical trades (Engineers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Laborers, Maintenance and Warehouse, etc.), • Knowledge in HVAC, Plumbing and Refrigeration required, • Experience bidding National and local facilities contracts, • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Access and Word, • Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate verbally and in writing, • Superior organizational skills required, with ability to develop short and long-range goals, • Knowledge of Procore a plus JOB REQUIREMENTS • This role will be based out of NYC, Eataly’s North American headquarters., • This role is fully on-site and on location, • Up to 50% travel, as needed, to all Eataly North America locations (USA and International) Additional Information Benefits and Perks • Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, • Paid Time Off, • Paid Parental Leave, • 401K with match or RRSP, • 20% bonus potential, • Free family meal daily, • QSR Comp for daily coffee or lunch, • Discounts at Eataly on dining, shopping, and classes, • Classes on products and Italian cuisine, • Referral bonus program Eataly is an equal employment opportunity employer.
