Job Description Full Time Position with Benefits Reports to General Manager Qualifications: B.A. or B.S. Degree or commensurate experience in the food marketing business. Working knowledge of basic office equipment including: phone systems, desktop computer, fax machine, postage machine and copier. Knowledge and Experience with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point a plus. Good interpersonal skills. Purpose: assist RMG Owners and work with other RMG staff members to coordinate and implement the marketing and promotional activities of RMG Member stores. Major Responsibilities: • Provide the necessary information to RMG Member Stores that will give them the best opportunity to execute the approved RMG marketing and promotional programs., • Conduct vendor interviews to negotiate competitive marketing and promotional programs for RMG., • Assure vendors supply market data that is relevant and promotional data that is accurately presented., • Develop category expertise through fact finding and market data supplied by manufacturers and brokers., • Compile and merchandise specific managed categories for the weekly ad and TPR programs., • Assist in verifying accuracy of vendor promotional contracts., • Review weekly ad layout as provided by ad agency for proper item placement and space requirements., • Be aware of competitive activity and examine competitive ads on the categories that you manage and work aggressively to obtain the relative equivalent programs for RMG that we do not have., • Assist in communication of necessary RMG information to and from all RMG suppliers e.g. Wholesalers, Distributors, DSD vendors, etc. i.e. – weekly ad forecast, • Assist in Accounts Receivable collection for your vendors with the accounting manager., • Develop cost saving strategies at the office and at RMG Member Stores., • Assist in other RMG office duties as requiredCompany DescriptionRetail Marketing Group LLC is a marketing company providing marketing, promotion and advertising support for independent supermarkets.Retail Marketing Group LLC is a marketing company providing marketing, promotion and advertising support for independent supermarkets.
