Job DescriptionEstimator Opportunity with Direct Impact on High‑Profile DevelopmentsJob Title: EstimatorAbout the Role As an Estimator, you’ll be responsible for developing accurate, comprehensive cost estimates and budgets for a wide range of construction contract types, including lump sum and time & material. You’ll work on complex residential and commercial office projects, collaborating closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure every proposal is competitive, compliant, and strategically sound. This is a high‑impact position for someone who enjoys ownership, problem‑solving, and being trusted as a key voice in preconstruction decision‑making. What You’ll Do • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, subcontracts, and construction facilities, • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure reliable pricing and coverage, • Attend site visits, pre‑bid meetings, and proposal conferences to assess project requirements firsthand, • Develop, review, and manage subcontractor scopes of work; analyze quotes and select best‑value solutions, • Prepare bid status reports and ensure full compliance with specifications, Statements of Work, and bid invitations, • Present cost estimates aligned with customer proposals, general conditions, and special project requirements, • Perform quantity takeoffs, input schedules, prepare cost summaries, and manage estimates within estimating software, • Maintain accurate historical cost data, cost codes, and pricing databases, • Leverage company and industry cost history to support accurate, competitive pricingWhat You Bring, • Bachelor’s degree in building construction, engineering, or a related construction field, • 7–10 years of hands‑on estimating experience on commercial or multifamily projects, • Advanced estimating skills, including value engineering and strong familiarity with construction and engineering terminology, • Proven ability to interpret and organize construction drawings and specifications, • Strong analytical thinking, communication, and attention to detail, • Excellent time management with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines, • Self‑directed, organized, and confident working independently, • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and database softwarePreferred Experience & Certifications, • Background in project management, construction management, or general contracting, • Experience with multifamily, apartment buildings, commercial construction, and ground‑up development, • Familiarity with preconstruction, bidding, estimating software, and change orders, • Knowledge of site development, tenant improvements, leasing, safety, and property management, • OSHA 30 certificationWork Environment & Benefits, • In‑person role based in Stamford, CT, • Schedule: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM onsite, • Competitive salary with bonus potential, • Comprehensive benefits package including:, • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, • 401(k) plan, • Life insurance, • Paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave _ Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Stamford, CT.
