We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service in a hospital or assisted living environment. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring that all dietary needs are met while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. This role is vital in promoting the health and well-being of our residents through nutritious meal options. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Ensure that all food items are prepared, stored, and served in compliance with food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, dining rooms, and equipment. Collaborate with kitchen staff and dietary managers to plan menus that meet nutritional needs. Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies. Provide support during meal service, including setting up dining areas and cleaning up after meals. Communicate effectively with residents regarding their dietary needs and preferences. Skills Experience in the food industry, particularly in food service settings such as hospitals or assisted living facilities. Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks during busy meal periods. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Ability to maintain a clean and sanitized work environment. Basic culinary skills, including cooking techniques and meal preparation methods. Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, staff, and other team members effectively.
