Job Details • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,130 – $1,210, • Location: Boston, MA 02114 (Downtown Boston; travel sterile processing job), • Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 1, 2026 – July 30, 2026), • Shift: 8-hour Days (09:00 AM – 05:30 PM), • Hours per Week: 40, • Employment Type: Travel, On-site (Sterile Processing / Central Sterile) Minimum Qualifications • High School Diploma or Equivalent, • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred, • Minimum 1 year experience as a Central Sterile Technician, Sterile Processing Technician, or SPD Tech in a hospital or surgical setting, • Solid knowledge of sterile processing principles, instrument sterilization, aseptic technique, and infection prevention standards, • Familiarity with surgical instrumentation, tray assembly, and sterilization equipment (autoclaves, rigid sterilizers), • Proficiency in instrument inspection, decontamination, assembly, packaging, and documentation, • Good communication skills and ability to work with OR teams, nurses, and clinical staff, • Ability to meet physical demands: frequent standing, walking, lifting (35+ lbs with assistive device), and handling equipment Key Responsibilities • Receive, decontaminate, inspect, and prepare medical instruments and surgical trays from operating rooms and departments, • Load and operate sterilizers according to hospital protocols and manufacturer guidelines; monitor cycle parameters and documentation, • Perform quality checks on instruments, packaging, and sterilization records to ensure compliance with infection control standards, • Manage inventory of sterile supplies: receive, inspect, restock, and rotate stock to maintain surgical readiness, • Clean, maintain, and assist in troubleshooting sterilization equipment and instrumentation, • Provide training and guidance to new or less experienced sterile processing staff and support continuous improvement initiatives, • Communicate effectively with OR staff, nurses, and clinical teams to prioritize instrument needs and support patient care Why Join This Team • Opportunity to work in a major Boston hospital with a focus on quality and infection prevention, • Competitive weekly pay for travel sterile processing roles Benefits 401K with Matching, Healthcare, Dental and Vision Equal Opportunity We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity across our organization.
