What You’ll Do As an AMFT / Mental Health Clinician, you’ll play a vital role in helping clients overcome challenges related to substance use, mental health, and family dynamics. You’ll provide direct clinical care, collaborate with a supportive multi-disciplinary team, and connect clients with resources that foster lasting recovery. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct client assessments and diagnose substance use disorders. * Provide crisis intervention, treatment, and case management services. * Develop individualized and group treatment plans addressing emotional, mental, and family needs. * Facilitate therapy sessions with clients and families in clinical, school, and community settings. * Maintain accurate case histories and progress notes. * Collaborate with caseworkers, probation officers, and community resources to support client recovery. * Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review cases and treatment approaches. * Provide outreach, education, and support services within the community. * Under supervision, evaluate clients for voluntary or involuntary psychiatric admission when necessary. What We’re Looking For * Education: Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, Counseling, or related field. * Licensure: Registered as an AMFT (Associate Marriage & Family Therapist) with the California BBS within 30 days of hire. Licensure must be obtained within 6 years per BBS requirements. * Skills & Traits: Patient, compassionate, strong judgment, excellent decision-making skills, and a true commitment to client care. * Experience: Internship or professional experience providing clinical services, assessments, and counseling in mental health or substance use settings.
