This is not an entry-level social media position and we will only be looking at candidates with tactical / outdoor gear industry experience. This role is responsible for helping drive the planning, coordination, execution, and consistency of AXLs media presence, product launch schedules, website content, newsletters, social platforms, and overall brand communication strategy. The ideal candidate understands modern digital marketing, tactical gear & firearms culture, and how to keep a fast-moving brand organized, engaging, and consistently ahead of schedule. We are looking for someone excited to help grow AXL into one of the premier modern brands in the defense industry through engaging content, consistent storytelling, product launches, and high-quality digital media. This position reports directly to leadership and plays an important role in shaping the future direction of AXLs media and brand presence. ResponsibilitiesMedia & Content Operations • Maintain and manage a forward-planned media and content calendar tied to product launches, sales initiatives, and company goals., • Coordinate with internal media, design, product, and leadership teams to ensure launch readiness and timely delivery of content., • Help organize and oversee the scheduling, publishing, and consistency of content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, Twitch, email, and other platforms, • Ensure content, launches, and campaigns remain organized, on-brand, and executed on schedule., • Generate engaging content that increases brand awareness and customer engagement., • Help develop engaging, platform-native content designed for short-form video platforms (instagram, facebook, tiktok, twitter) while helping build toward larger mid-form and long-form YouTube content initiatives., • Assist in developing repeatable content systems, templates, workflows, and publishing processes., • Support marketing initiatives tied to government sales, including DOD, Federal, and Local Agencies.Website & E-Commerce Support, • Coordinate with website and Shopify teams to keep product pages, launch assets, banners, collections, and promotional content fresh and updated., • Help ensure website content supports conversions, launches, and current promotions., • Assist in maintaining consistency across website messaging, product content, and digital merchandising.Email Marketing & Launch Coordination, • Coordinate with partnered agencies and internal teams on newsletters, promotional emails, launch announcements, and automated email flows while stepping in directly when needed., • Ensure outbound communications maintain high standards for clarity, urgency, professionalism, and brand engagement channels., • Help foster positive relationships with customers, creators, influencers, and industry homies within the tactical and firearms community., • Coordinate with influencers, creators, ambassadors, and industry partners when needed., • Assist in managing social engagement, messaging, comments, and overall brand interactionsAdvertising & Agency Coordination, • Coordinate with external pay-for-performance marketing agencies managing Meta/Facebook/Instagram advertising campaigns., • Assist with communicating campaign priorities, launch schedules, promotional timelines, and creative deliverables., • Review campaign performance, provide feedback, and help align advertising with overall company initiatives.Qualifications, • Highly self-motivated (Self Starter and Self Sustaining), • Able to operate independently and proactively without constant oversight, • Strong organizational and project management skills, • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Experience with social media management, digital marketing, and content coordination, • Familiarity with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms, • Experience working with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo or similar systems preferred, • Understanding of modern social media trends, digital content strategy, and brand growth, • Tactical, firearms, military, and outdoor industry familiarity, • Ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with a team, • Strong attention to detail and follow-through, • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset and strong ownership mentality, • Roll up sleeves and shoot video, photos and help edit as neededPreferred Skills, • Experience with photography, videography, editing, or content production, • Adobe Creative Suite familiarity, • Experience coordinating launches or marketing campaigns, • Understanding of SEO, analytics, and digital advertising, • Experience working with content calendars, project management systems, or marketing workflows, • Shoot content for video, photography with the ability to editAdditional Information, • Full-time position, • Pay based on experience, with a salary base plus performance incentives, • In-person position located in Wylie, Texas (75098), • Some travel, trade shows, range events, and
