Job Description LifeSavers Foundation, Upscale Resale Store – Richardson, TX GENERAL OVERVIEW: The retail store manager oversees daily operations, staff/volunteer management, inventory (donated goods), sales, and finances, with a strong focus on mission alignment, community engagement, and maximizing revenue for the cause through effective merchandising, budgeting, and exceptional customer/donor service, blending traditional retail skills with non-profit stewardship. Key duties include hiring/training, scheduling, inventory control, budget management, promoting the mission, and handling donations, all while ensuring a positive environment for staff, shoppers, and the organization's goals. POSITION DESCRIPTION: This is a full-time, salaried position, between 40-45 hours per week. Store hours are Monday-Saturday 11 AM – 6 PM, closed Sundays. You are required to work 5 days per week and may choose to take off either Monday or Tuesday. Must be available for occasional mornings or evenings for special events. We offer a competitive salary based on experience, plus benefits, which include medical and dental insurance, PTO (80 hours), 50% merchandise discount and yearly compensation evaluations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Leadership & Staff Management: Recruit, train, schedule, motivate, and evaluate paid staff and volunteers; foster a positive, mission-driven environment; handle HR tasks., • Operations Management: Oversee daily activities, opening/closing, store appearance, security, and compliance with policies., • Sales & Financials: Achieve sales goals, manage budgets, track sales/expenses, handle bank deposits, and report financial performance., • Merchandising & Inventory: Manage donated goods, sorting, pricing (considering condition/ brand), display, stock levels, and reducing waste., • Mission & Community Focus: Act as a brand ambassador, engage donors, communicate the organization's mission, and build community relationships., • Retail management experience (sales, visual merchandising, operations)., • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills., • Budgeting, financial management, and reporting., • Basic computer and software skills, especially MS Office Suite., • Inventory control and organization., • Passion for the non-profit's faith based mission., • Ability to work with diverse groups (staff, volunteers, donors, customers)., • Bilingual in English and Spanish., • Comfortable using social media, FB Marketplace and IG., • Must have a reliable automobile for trips to bank and other errands., • Must be able to maintain a conservative and polished image, we encourage smart casual attire, meaning clean, well-fitting clothes that are professional yet comfortable and not revealing., • Must be able to pass a drug (including screening for marijuana) and background test.
