Job Description The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling BPW's Social Emotional Learning and Mindfulness services to schools primarily located throughout the 5 boroughs of New York City, and secondarily to support the expansion of BPW's services to new schools in other states where BPW already has a presence e.g. Philadelphia. This is an independent position that requires a candidate with experience in sales and wellness/education, who is strategic, innovative, highly self-motivated, and able to independently identify resources to expand BPW's visibility in elementary, middle, and high schools. BPW is a uniquely supportive, positive & collaborative work environment with a primary focus on enhancing our employee's health and wellness and maximizing their potential. COMPENSATION : $50K Base Salary + 8% commission per Purchase Order. Opportunity to negotiate commission after 6 months pending performance. Year 1 potential compensation between $75K - $85K depending on the sales goals you meet and Purchase Orders/contracts that you create. Year 2 potential compensation between $85K - $100K depending on the sales goals you meet and Purchase Orders/contracts that you create. RESPONSIBILITIES : • Manage and meet sales goals set by the CEO, • Create and execute marketing campaigns to increase awareness of BPWs services and products, and targeting school districts and resources to expand BPW's presence within our current markets and new markets., • Utilize BPW's website, and social media platforms as marketing tools, obtaining BPW’s current mailing lists and expanding BPW's contacts and resources, & maximizing the partnership of our current school partners, • Collaborate with the CEO to conduct in person and online presentations with the goal of signing up schools to purchase BPW's services and setting up meetings with school administrators, who are decision makers, interested in purchasing BPW's services., • Attend BPW programs in order to become knowledgeable and able to discuss how BPW's services meet the SEL (social emotional learning) goals and needs of the school community., • Create meetings between Sales Representative, CEO, & decision makers within school districts (e.g. Superintendents, District Leaders, and/or Principals) to market BPW's services and obtain contracts., • Collaborate with the Curriculum Department to create marketing materials targeting various educational audiences., • Establish long term partnerships with customers and turn them into our “Vision Partners” (i.e. by checking in throughout the term of the contract, work with them each school year to continue current services and expand services,, • Maintaining a high level of subscription renewals to the online Learning Community and collaborating with the National Expansion Department to ensure access is granted., • Collaborate with the National Expansion & Operations Departments to troubleshoot any access issues with the Learning Community., • Evaluate customer satisfaction survey results with BPW’s management team, analyze the results, and develop & update strategies to gain new customers and maintain BPW’s current clients., • Utilize feedback from customer satisfaction surveys to develop impactful service implementation plans/contracts with our school partners for additional services., • Sell and coordinate mailing of BPW materials that support teachers in the classroom (e.g. posters, exercise cards, books). Collaborate with the Operations Department regarding mailing items to customers, and with the Accounting Department to invoice and receive payment., • Work with our Accounting Department & Operations Department to understand the payment procedure in New York and other states as needed; process purchase orders; and submit invoices for payment., • Be an ongoing support for customers regarding their questions, concerns, and suggestions., • Provide weekly reports to the CEO outlining sales goals and current progress., • Meet weekly with the CEO, to review monthly sales goals, discuss progress, and develop solutions to current obstacles to achieving sales goals and identify strategies to achieve revenue goals. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. However, a candidate with related experience and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals will take priority over a degree., • 1 year of experience in sales and marketing + experience in either wellness or education, • Experience marketing and selling services versus products and any experience in the wellness or educational field is strongly preferred ! A proven track record of achieving sales quotas and goals., • Experience in budgeting, planning and executing sales campaigns, and a track record of achieving revenue goals is required !, • Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles and practices., • Excellent presentation, engagement, and communication [written and verbal] skills., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, organizational and time management skills., • Experience using CRM to manage the sales process and forecast sales, • Ability to design, evaluate and implement a successful sales strategy, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team., • Ability to travel to schools throughout NYC and 5 boroughs and some travel out of state.
