Job DescriptionJob Title: Shipping and Receiving Operator Location: Goshen, NY Pay: $23-$27 an hour Shift: 1st shift Job Description The Shipping and Receiving Operator ensures the accurate, timely, and safe handling of all incoming and outgoing materials and products. This role combines clerical and physical tasks, including order verification, shipment preparation, inventory support, and equipment inspections, to keep warehouse operations running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities • Perform clerical and physical tasks to ensure the accuracy of all orders shipped and received by the company., • Coordinate and verify all records for incoming and outgoing shipments to maintain accurate documentation., • Prepare items for shipment, including packing, labeling, and staging loads for dispatch., • Assist in the staging of truck loads, scan loads, and receive materials using warehouse systems and tools., • Perform all UPS receipts and prepare outbound UPS shipments in accordance with company procedures., • Conduct monthly inventory cycle counts and support the completion of full physical inventory counts., • Track shipments and obtain proof of deliveries to confirm successful receipt by customers or internal locations., • Trace missing or lost shipments and help resolve discrepancies in a timely manner., • Conduct daily inspections of all equipment used for shipping and receiving to ensure employee safety and proper working condition., • Handle materials safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as required., • Use RF scanners and related logistics tools to accurately record and track inventory movements., • Collaborate with warehouse and production team members to meet operational goals and timelines., • Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines while performing all warehouse and shipping activities., • Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience., • Ability to lift approximately 55 pounds safely and repeatedly., • Basic computer skills, including the use of Outlook and Word., • Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse or logistics environment., • Familiarity with SAP or similar logistics/warehouse management systems., • Ability to use RF scanners for inventory and shipping tasks., • Material handling skills, including working with pallets, packing, and staging loads., • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work well with others in a warehouse and production setting., • Strong work ethic and reliability in completing assigned tasks., • Commitment to compliance with OSHA and workplace safety standards., • Prior forklift experience preferred., • Experience operating pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment., • Experience in production or manufacturing environments is an asset., • Experience handling UPS shipments, including inbound receipts and outbound shipments.
