Clearly communicate expectations of job performance and hold staff accountable for performing against expectations and goals, • Actively participate in performance management process for staff, completing performance evaluations and proactively addressing performance issues, • In partnership with Human Resources, manage the hiring, training and retention of staff, • Cross train in all positions within branch and perform any operations duties, as needed, during peak periods or to maintain coverage, • Lead by example by modeling appropriate sales techniques to staff., • Consistently cross-sell and refer bank products and services to contribute to branch sales goals, including deposit growth, loan growth, fee income growth and investment growth., • Execute on sales opportunities by making product suggestions based on customer needs and referring to the appropriate branch or external representative (deposits, loans, investments, debit cards, and merchant Services OTM), • Assist in customer outreach by managing, assigning and conducting outbound phone calls, to educate and inform customers about additional products and services available to them., • Proactively strive to retain and grow the current customer base by providing efficient daily operations of the branch and exceptional customer service, • Maintain clear and open communication between branch management and staff, actively listen to staff when questions are raised, and cascade important information both up to management and down to staff members in a timely manner, • Promote Northfield Bank in the communities we serve, through involvement in community-based organizations and participating in community events and company-sponsored events, • Demonstrate professionalism at all times by maintaining a positive and respectful demeanor even during challenging situations, • Professional work attire must be worn at all times, following our HR manual guidelines • Assignment to a specific branch is always based on business need. RESPONSIBILITIES Maximizing Store Profitability • Drive and maximize sales performance with the willingness to exceed targets and objectives set by the Company, • Demonstrate sales leadership through sales floor presence, client engagement, and ensuring the highest level of customer service is provided, • Analyze selling and profitability of the store and take actions when required in order to obtain the highest success of the store, • Deliver reports to management when required, communicate company KPI’s and identify strategies to ensure performance standards are met. Ensure all necessary daily, weekly, monthly reporting is submitted (i.e. store performance recap, current business trends, client events), • Ensure the highest levels of customer service to support the growth of sales and develop customer loyalty according to ETRO selling ceremony, • Lead the team to consistently establish relationships and propose local events through networking, and support product launches, presell events, and trunk shows, • Resolve all customer problems and complaints in a quick and effective manner, • Develop and manage a client strategy to retain and develop high potential clients, • Establish market presence through community outreach and promote brand awareness, • Recruiting, training, coaching, counselling, appraising and disciplining the store team, • Develop and motivate the store team in order to meet sales targets and follow the customer service standards, • Collaborate with the VP of Retail to identify and create action plans and build development plans for all employees, • Conducting daily briefings with the store team, • Enforcing and ensuring all policies and procedures are complied with attention to loss prevention, • Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control following Company's procedures, • Maintain all visual merchandising guidelines and directives, • Ensure that presentation and visual standards are respected according to the corporate Visual, • Organize Events and outreach in line with corporate directives and when required from the Company, • Work closely with corporate teams, • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience, • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook), • A strong communicator with proven ability to interact regularly with internal and external individuals, • Proven ability to drive results, • Excellent organizational, managerial and entrepreneurial skills, • Commercial awareness and strong business acumen, • Talent for managing, coaching and developing a team, • Strong communication skills, • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to drive results; adaptable, problem solver and strategic, • Well connected with a strong ability to engage; true brand ambassador, • Passionate for Retail Sales with elevated clienteling skills, • Strong aspiration for team development and performance management The pay range for this position is $110,000 - $120,000 per year, based on applicable qualifications and experience.
