This role plays a key part in maximizing equipment uptime by completing preventive maintenance, executing repairs, and leading equipment upgradesespecially on electrical systems including motors, control panels, sensors, and power supply units. Key Responsibilities • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems across production and packaging lines., • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on motors, conveyors, sealers, and PLC-driven equipment., • Wire and maintain 120V/240V single-phase and 480V three-phase systems safely and accurately., • Diagnose and repair issues with photo-eyes, sensors, relays, proximity switches, and limit switches., • Use Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to monitor and adjust machine operating parameters., • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals., • Support changeovers and equipment adjustments for various SKUs and production specs., • Collaborate with machine operators and management to minimize downtime and optimize output., • Maintain glue and adhesive systems on packaging lines, ensuring alignment and consistency., • Support boiler, compressor, water treatment, and HVAC equipment maintenance as needed., • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP or similar) to log work orders and PMs., • Identify and replace bearings, seals, gaskets, belts, and other mechanical parts., • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in Industrial Electricity, Mechatronics, or Controls preferred., • 3+ years of experience in a food, beverage, or packaging manufacturing environment., • Demonstrated expertise in electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and control systems., • Familiarity with PLC-based equipment, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and HMIs., • Ability to safely use multimeters, megohmmeters, and other electrical test equipment., • OSHA knowledge and Lockout/Tagout safety compliance required., • Ability to read blueprints, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings., • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset to anticipate and prevent issues., • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform work at heights or in confined spaces., • Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and CMMS systems.
