Corporate Controller \nLocation: Green Brook New Jersey \nOnsite: 5 days per week \nCompensation: ~$150,000 base salary (commensurate with experience) \nRecruiter: Kelly Services \nResume Submission: \n \nPosition Overview \nKelly Services is partnering with a commercial mechanical and HVAC services organization to identify an experienced Corporate Controller. \nThis role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations while supporting executive leadership with accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance. The position is fully onsite and highly hands-on, with direct responsibility for financial controls, reporting, and team leadership. \n \nKey Responsibilities\n\n\t • Financial Oversight & Compliance\n\n\n\n\t, • Oversee accounting and financial operations in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements\n\t, • Evaluate existing financial processes and implement internal controls and improvements\n\t, • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for senior leadership\n\t, • Financial Management & Reporting\n\n\n\n\t, • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements\n\t, • Conduct variance analysis, balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow reviews\n\t, • Maintain accurate accounting records across departments\n\n\n\n\t, • Lead Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions\n\t, • Establish policies, procedures, and performance standards\n\t, • Partner with HR on payroll, compensation, and commission administration as applicable\n\t, • Audit & External Coordination\n\n\n\n\t, • Serve as primary contact for external CPA firm and auditors\n\t, • Support audit planning, execution, and final reporting\n\n\n\n\t, • Prepare monthly Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules\n\t, • Support system enhancements, cost initiatives, and operational integrations\n\t, • 10+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably within construction, mechanical, HVAC, or project-based services\n\t, • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field\n\t, • CPA or CMA preferred\n\t, • Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and consolidated financial reporting\n\t, • Solid understanding of cost accounting, asset management, and ERP systems\n\t, • Proven experience leading and developing accounting teams\n\t, • Experience with ADP payroll systems\n\t, • Ability to manage AP/AR aging, cash flow, and departmental financial performance\n\t, • Experience preparing WIP schedules\n\t, • Familiarity with union environments and Collective Bargaining Agreements strongly preferred\n\t, • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills\n\nWork Environment\n\n\n\t, • Fully onsite role, five days per week\n\t With Kelly®, it all adds up.
