Job Description The Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, sales performance, and service delivery of our automotive customization facility. You will lead a team to provide customers with guidance on aftermarket parts, high-end audio, performance upgrades, and interior customizations. As the leader of the shop, you ensure the team accurately understands customer needs, delivers exceptional service, and consistently hits target margins. This role requires a strong mix of operational leadership, sales coaching, and deep technical knowledge of vehicle modifications. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Sales Coaching • Direct sales and technical staff to ensure high-performance standards and cohesive teamwork. Operations & Quality Management • Oversee daily workflow, scheduling installation timelines alongside the workshop foreman to ensure on-time delivery., • Manage shop inventory, tracking the stock of aftermarket parts, audio equipment, and custom materials., • Enforce quality control and safety standards for all vehicle modifications and installations. Advanced Consultation & Escalations • Step in to close high-value deals or handle complex customer design consultations., • Resolve customer complaints or technical issues smoothly to maintain peak customer satisfaction., • Approve custom pricing, complex labor estimates, and strategic discounts for high-end builds. Business Growth & Market Expansion • Analyze sales data and trends to introduce new, high-demand customization packages and product lines., • Optimize profitability by managing labor costs, supplier relationships, and strategic upselling strategies. Required Skills and Qualifications • Proven experience as a Shop Manager, Assistant Manager, or Senior Sales Lead in an automotive aftermarket, performance, or customization environment., • Technical expertise in vehicle mechanics, high-end car audio, performance tuning, and current customization trends., • Strong leadership capabilities of hiring, training, and motivating a successful sales or service team., • Experience managing shop budgets, labor margins, and inventory tracking., • Communication skills to bridge the gap between technical installers, sales staff, and high-end clientele.
