Job Description Company: Central Truck & Diesel / Bobcat of Casper Are you a skilled communicator with a knack for organization and a passion for diesel and heavy equipment? Central Truck & Diesel / Bobcat of Casper is looking for a Service Writer to join our reliable, high-performing team. We specialize in Bobcat and diesel maintenance, transmissions, and engines—serving commercial fleets, private vehicles, and everything in between. What You’ll Be Doing: • Open and close shop work orders with precision, • Create and present service estimates before work begins, • Coordinate customer approvals and keep them informed, • Schedule safety training and maintain inspection records, • Answer calls related to shop scheduling and customer inquiries, • Review work orders, warranty jobs, and technician hours, • Monitor service progress and ensure proper accounting closure, • Collaborate with the shop manager to confirm job completion, • Submit parts exchange core reports on time, • Organize and maintain all service paperwork, • Assign work orders and manage technician schedules, • High School Diploma or GED, • Experience as a service writer/advisor in diesel, truck, or heavy equipment preferred or comparable position, • Strong organizational and communication skills · Warranty knowledge and safety awareness Physical Demands & Competencies: • Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing, • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing but may require occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, • Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills, • Ability to direct the work of others, • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, • Warranty training/knowledge Job Offers are contingent upon all required pre-employment screenings which may include but are not limited to background checks, drug/alcohol testing, fit for duty testing, and any other job-related tests/screenings.
