Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Senior Social Worker will be part of a team that provides neutral, third-party assessments and case management services to the ATI Court. The Senior Social Worker will conduct independent clinical assessments, provide referrals to community-based services, offer comprehensive clinical case management, and monitor participant compliance. The Senior Social Worker will be primarily responsible for supporting a caseload of high-risk need program participants and supervising a group of case managers and/or social workers. Reports To: Program Director Location: Research and Service High School, 1700 Fulton St, Brooklyn NY 11213 Hours: 35 Hours/Week; Non Exempt Schedule: Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 Major Duties: • Outreach to potential internship providers and employers to identify and secure full, part time and summer internship and employment opportunities for students of RSHS., • Create and maintain internship opportunities based on student interests, available local opportunities and referrals., • Match and place participants into placements developed and track their progress through 1:1 sessions, mid year and end of year evaluations., • Oversee placement and monitoring of participants at internship/job sites and obtain employer feedback., • Develop curriculum and facilitate weekly seminar groups that meet once weekly for students in internship placements., • Identify, develop and utilize tools appropriate to provide accurate assessment of participants' work readiness and skill development., • Conduct administrative tasks for student interns such as onboarding them into the payroll system, track, input and manage student timesheet and hours., • Onboard and orientate new student interns regarding internship practices, policies and procedures., • Collaborate with students’ Advocate Counselor to ensure alignment in supporting students through their social- emotional and academic progress and goals to fulfill graduation requirements., • Liaison with the post-secondary team on topics related to job and career readiness and exploration skills/competency development (i.e., resume writing, interviewing skills, completing job applications)., • Attend division wide meetings with Internship Coordinators and other staff in the division, • Ensure timely completion of Salesforce documentation, other documentation of work, and statistics, and assist DOE to ensure accuracy of student records. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree required., • Experience working with adolescents in employment or vocational field in 1:1 and group sessions., • Strong organizational, teamwork, verbal and written communication skills., • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite., • Ability to travel to GSS Program Sites throughout the respective borough., • Ability to work weekends, including overnight when necessary., • Must have a commitment to work from a strength based and youth development perspective.

Job Description The Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law is a nonpartisan law and policy institute that seeks to improve the systems of democracy and justice in the United States. We work to hold our political institutions and laws accountable to the twin American ideals of democracy and equal justice for all. The Brennan Center’s work ranges from voting rights to campaign finance reform, from ending mass incarceration to preserving Constitutional protections in national security policies. We are seeking interns to join our Communications department on the Brennan en Español (BEE) team to provide research / writing, administrative support to staff. Note: This internship is in-person at our New York office. Responsibilities: All interns will assist with general research and administrative work for the Brennan Center, including coordinating meetings, and drafting routine correspondence. Additionally, there will be opportunities to attend and observe substantive meetings, events, and conversations on program work. In addition to administrative duties, specific responsibilities for the BEE department include: * Helping the BEE team with research for different projects, including our newsletter. * Writing social media messaging and assisting with social media posting. * Contributing to videos for our social media platforms, including helping with writing scripts, and editing and recording of videos.
