The Opportunity We are looking for a practical, hands‐on engineer to carry out electrical testing, diagnostics, and condition monitoring on large rotating machines, including generators and high‐voltage motors, across Spain and Europe. You will support onsite inspections, outages, and commissioning activities, working closely with mechanical and engineering teams to ensure equipment reliability and accurate technical reporting. Key Responsibilities Perform electrical diagnostic tests such as IR, PI, winding resistance, high‐voltage tests, capacitance/Tan Delta, partial discharge, and (desirable) surge/RSO testing. Install, calibrate, and commission monitoring systems including partial discharge, flux, shaft voltage, and data acquisition equipment. Support generator inspections and outages; assist mechanical teams when required. Record all testing data, calibration details, and commissioning information accurately. Provide site data to engineering teams for technical reporting. Operate equipment safely and follow all company and site Health & Safety procedures. Work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team and communicate with clients onsite. Qualifications & Experience Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering (preferred). Experience performing electrical tests on industrial equipment (required). High‐voltage testing experience and knowledge of generators/rotating machines (desirable). Experience in power plants, heavy industry, or rotating machinery environments (beneficial). Basic mechanical awareness. Fluent Spanish and basic English for engineering communication. Willingness to travel across Spain and Europe; full driving licence. Strong safety focus and a practical, hands-on approach. Why Quartzelec?
