We are looking for a new talent to join our Hardware team in Getafe (Madrid), Spain: Hardware Design Engineer POSITION SUMMARY The primary responsibility of this position is for HW engineering on various electronic boards and equipment developments with emphasis on aerospace applications. The major tasks are to plan, document and develop new hardware products from initial specification through prototypes to production ready. You will be responsible for: Product Design & Development • Lead the design and development of complex electronic subsystems and components for platform architectures., • Translate system‑level and high‑level requirements into robust, traceable, and validated hardware designs., • Drive design reviews, ensure compliance with engineering standards, and secure on‑time, on‑budget delivery of hardware work packages., • Plan and execute hardware verification and validation activities, including test strategies, test bench development, and test procedures., • Evaluate, troubleshoot, and implement design improvements for new and legacy systems., • Identify emerging technologies and collaborate with industry partners to mature innovative electronic solutions for Mercury., • Perform risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and present technical recommendations to stakeholders and program leadership., • Provide expert technical guidance to cross‑functional teams including systems, software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering., • Support system integration, industrialization, regulatory approval, and safety certification activities., • Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, fostering excellence in engineering practices, documentation, and execution., • Promote continuous improvement in design methodologies, tools, and processes across the hardware engineering discipline. You will join a highly qualified and motivated team and work in an international environment. Candidates must be strongly team oriented with a desire to tackle new and unique problems. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience., • Proven experience in an equivalent position in the aerospace industry., • Advanced knowledge of electronic design, including schematics, layout principles, component selection, and design‑for‑reliability., • Advanced expertise with hardware design and simulation tools (e.g., Mentor Graphics, SI/thermal analysis tools)., • Strong experience in hardware testing, troubleshooting, and validation methodologies., • Advanced understanding of DO‑254 processes and aerospace/defense hardware development standards., • Advanced‑level knowledge of electronic design, including schematics, layout principles, component selection, and design‑for‑reliability., • Proficiency with hardware design and simulation tools (e.g., Mentor Graphics, SI/thermal analysis tools)., • Strong experience in hardware testing, troubleshooting, and validation methodologies., • Advanced understanding of DO‑254 processes and aerospace/defense hardware development standards., • Fluent in English., • Good interpersonal skills.
