We are looking for a motivated and analytical Supply Chain Junior Engineer to join our team. This role combines engineering fundamentals with data-driven decision-making to contribute to logistics optimization, inventory management, production planning, and distribution processes. The position will work closely with cross-functional teams supporting key initiatives under the guidance of senior team members. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Analyze supply chain performance using data-driven methods to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities., • Support the development and maintenance of cost models for components and products, contributing to decisions related to design, process optimization, make-or-buy, and manufacturing localization., • Contribute to Value Analysis (VA) and Value Engineering (VE) activities by identifying cost-saving opportunities in both existing and new product designs., • Evaluate production costs across different manufacturing sites and suppliers, supporting scenario analysis (volume changes, currency fluctuations, supplier changes)., • Participate in process improvement initiatives across transportation, warehousing, and inventory management., • Develop models and simulations to optimize production planning, inventory levels, and demand forecasting., • Prepare detailed cost estimates for special/custom parts based on BoMs, CAD models, engineering drawings, and physical components, including cycle time, labor, materials, and overhead calculations., • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements., • Support digital transformation initiatives (ERP enhancements, process automation, data analytics tools)., • Participate in lean and continuous improvement initiatives., • Maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor supply chain performance and support decision-making reporting. REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field., • 2-3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Controlling, Operations, Manufacturing, or related environments. Automotive industry is a plus., • Familiar with MS Office, Dynamics 365 is a plus., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills., • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams., • Fluent in English for daily work with Europe or Asia. Third language is a plus., • Own vehicle to office access due to no public transport.
