Senior DevOps Engineer (Observability) Location: Europe (CET) Work model: Full Remote or Hybrid (Barcelona, Spain) Languages: English required | Spanish nice-to-have We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong hands‑on background in cloud platforms, observability, and modern infrastructure‑as‑code practices. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, at least 8 years of experience , and the ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment. Main Responsibilities Lead the migration of existing monitoring systems from Splunk to New Relic Collaborate to design and implement New Relic governance foundations, including account structure, tagging standards, alerting strategies, dashboards, SLOs Define and promote ways of working for observability, ensuring alignment across engineering teams and driving continuous improvement of monitoring processes. Implement technical foundations for the company’s systems in New Relic, including logs APM, infrastructure, distributed tracing, synthetics, and integrations. Collaborate with application teams to onboard services to New Relic and ensure proper instrumentation, data quality, and visibility. Automate observability configurations using Terraform and integrate them into GitHub‑based CI/CD workflows. Provide technical guidance to internal teams on Azure, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and observability practices. Ensure monitoring and alerting are aligned with business‑critical SLIs/SLOs, enabling proactive detection and rapid troubleshooting. Support continuous improvement of operations, reliability, performance, and security. Requirements New Relic – Dashboards, alerts, APM, infrastructure, logs, distributed tracing, synthetics, performance tuning, controls. GitHub – GitHub Actions, CI/CD, repository governance, security features. SonarCloud – Code scanning automation and rules management. Open Policy Frameworks (OPA, Conftest) – Policy-as-Code. DevSecOps Engineer Responsibilities Lead the DevSecOps practices and processes within the organization Develop and implement DevSecOps strategies for the organization Mentor other engineers in the adoption of Cybersecurity best practices Work with development and operations teams to automate security‑based principles Identify and implement tools and processes to improve software development and delivery Actively seek solutions to customer needs, communicate trends to leadership, and suggest innovative solutions on behalf of the customer experience Participate in the design of Multiverse’s toolbox interface Join a world‑class team of Quantum experts with an extensive track record in both academia and industry Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; alternatively, significant work experience as a Software Engineer, with strong emphasis on Cybersecurity. 8+ years of experience working as DevSecOps Engineer. Strong competence with Network Architecture and related technologies in AWS and/or Azure Cybersecurity competence in SAST, DAST, SIEM, SSO, penetration testing, implementing cybersecurity controls. Competence with Red Team / Blue Team / Purple Team tactics Experience with Cybersecurity Incident Response protocols Competence in cryptographic controls, such as SSH key handling, logging, and auditing. Competence with Key Management Service, key rotation solutions, and automation. Candidates with AWS, Azure and/or Security certifications will be prioritized, especially AWS Certified Security, AWS Certified Advanced Networking. Cross‑Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management Act as the senior technical point of contact for development, IT, data, networking, and security teams. Drive architectural alignment across domains and guide engineering teams during planning, reviews, and delivery. Play an active leadership role in SCRUM/Agile ceremonies, influencing planning and prioritization. Communicate platform strategies, risks, and decisions to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Preferred Advanced Responsibilities Lead the deployment and governance of Azure Databricks, including clusters, workspace security models, and Unity Catalog administration. Define scalable access patterns, workspace orchestration standards, and integrations across the wider cloud data ecosystem. Complex Environment & Platform Operations Architect and govern multi‑environment strategies for dev/test/prod, ensuring stable, predictable releases. Establish standards for artifact repositories and package lifecycle management. Lead design and deployment of Kubernetes clusters (AKS/EKS) and govern operational best practices. Database & Application Stack Ownership Guide SQL database configuration, operations, DR strategy, and integrations. Oversee application stack mapping and infrastructure dependencies for operational clarity.
