About us 🚀 Teamed is on a mission to equalise career opportunities for talent wherever they live. For growing companies we simplify the whole international, remote employment experience via our proprietary platform and on-the-ground structures. We offer their global staff relevant and attractive local benefits, as well as local protection and compliance. Additionally we offer many other complimentary services for companies looking to expand across the world. We are growing fast and seek the best and brightest to take us to the next level. About the role We are looking for an experienced Spain Payroll Specialist (Tecnico/a de Nominas) to join Teamed's Spanish subsidiary on a part-time basis (50-60% FTE). This is a hands-on, end-to-end Spanish payroll role with full responsibility for the monthly payroll cycle. This is a newly in-housed role — you will be taking ownership of a payroll that has previously been managed by an external provider, so experience managing a transition from a gestoria or outsourced bureau to an in-house setup is a significant advantage. Accuracy, deep knowledge of Spanish payroll legislation, and strong controls are central to what we need. This is a genuine opportunity for an experienced professional to own a clean, well-defined payroll at a company that values autonomy and trust — with the flexibility of a part-time arrangement. What you'll be doing ✔️ • End-to-end monthly payroll: run the complete payroll cycle - calculation, validation, authorisation and payment file preparation., • Social Security administration: manage all employee registrations and deregistrations (altas y bajas) with the TGSS; submit monthly filings via Sistema RED / SILTRA/ INSS…etc, • IRPF and tax declarations: calculate and apply correct IRPF withholding rates; prepare and submit quarterly Modelo 111 and annual Modelo 190., • Contract management: process new hire and leaver notifications via Contrat@ / SEPE; manage contract modifications, extensions and termination paperwork., • Payroll inputs and data changes: manage all employee data updates (new hires, leavers, salary changes, absences, special bonuses) ensuring accuracy ahead of cut-off., • Payroll controls and reconciliation: apply strong payroll controls; reconcile payroll costs against Finance records; investigate and resolve discrepancies., • Employee queries: act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries from employees and managers in Spain, responding promptly and accurately., • Process documentation: maintain and improve payroll procedures and process documentation, keeping them current with regulatory changes., • Regulatory awareness: stay current with changes to Spanish payroll legislation, Social Security rates, and IRPF tables; ensure timely implementation., • Provider transition: work with Teamed's current external provider to ensure a smooth, complete handover of all payroll data, configurations and historical records. Some of the reasons we'll love you 💚 Essential: • Minimum 5 years of hands-on, end-to-end Spanish payroll experience — you have run payroll yourself, not just overseen it., • Formal qualification in Relaciones Laborales, Administracion y Finanzas (CFGS), Derecho Laboral, or equivalent — you understand the legal framework, not just the software., • Spanish as your native or near-native working language — all employee communications and regulatory filings are conducted in Spanish., • Proficiency in at least one Spanish payroll platform (Nominasol, Sage Nominaplus, A3nom, Meta4 or equivalent) and confident use of Excel for reconciliation and reporting., • Proven knowledge of Sistema RED / SILTRA, Contrat.. etc, IRPF withholding, Modelo 111 and Modelo 190., • Deep familiarity with the Estatuto de los Trabajadores, Social Security contribution rules and the application of convenios colectivos., • Working English at B2 level or above — for communication with Teamed's UK-based parent company and Global teams., • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership — you treat the payroll as your own., • Comfortable working independently and managing your own deadlines in a part-time structure. Highly desirable: • Experience managing the transition of a payroll from an external gestoria or bureau to an in-house function., • Experience with ERTE processes, workforce restructuring or complex termination calculations. What's in it for you? 🥳 This role is a genuine opportunity to own and shape a payroll function from the ground up — bringing it in-house with your expertise. You'll have direct impact from day one, without the noise of a large team or high-volume environment. We offer a part-time arrangement (50-60% FTE — approx. 20-24 hours per week) on a part time contract. Working hours and days are flexible and agreed with you — we care about the work getting done well, not where you sit when you do it. • Competitive salary prorated for your FTE (depending on location and experience), • Remote working, • A friendly, talented and entrepreneurial team with a genuinely flexible culture Our commitment to you 🙏 We warmly welcome those with alternative identities, backgrounds, and experiences to Teamed. We know diverse teams are the strongest teams. We are committed to a fair and accessible recruitment process for all candidates and will be happy to meet any accommodation requests during the application or interview process, so please just let us know.
