HR & People Lead The Company • Sector: Deep-tech / Industrial Innovation, • Headcount: ~35 FTE, • Key Facts: Early scale-up phase, multi-site operations, highly technical teams, • Location: France (HQ) + international subsidiary in Africa The Role As the HR & People Lead, you will structure and lead the People function during a pivotal scale-up phase. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the leadership team to build HR processes, oversee recruitment across technical and operational teams, and strengthen culture and internal alignment. Key Responsibilities: • Building the HR function from the ground up, • Overseeing end-to-end recruitment for technical, scientific, and operational roles, • Developing HR policies, tools, and compliance frameworks, • Leading onboarding, offboarding, and performance management, • Overseeing payroll coordination and leave administration, • Launching training and career-development initiatives, • Driving culture-building and internal communication practices Qualifications & Key Competencies • At least 5 years of HR experience, ideally in start-ups or scale-ups, • Strong understanding of French labour law, • Proven experience recruiting technical or scientific profiles, • Ability to design and implement HR processes from scratch, • Familiarity with HRIS / ATS tools, • Fully fluent in English and French Career Background Elements • Experience in a fast-growing or early-stage environment, • Exposure to multi-country HR topics is a plus, • Comfortable working with technical, scientific, or field teams Soft Skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, • High integrity, discretion, and professionalism, • Hands-on, structured, and proactive approach, • Strong organisational and project-management skills, • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment To Stand Out • Experience setting up HR foundations in a scale-up, • Familiarity with psychometric tools or structured interview methodologies, • Experience with international HR topics (Africa or emerging markets), • Interest in deep-tech or industrial innovation Why Apply? • Competitive salary + equity package (starts from 60K€ to more depending en experience), • On-site role with occasional travel, • Significant autonomy and impact on organisational structure, • Opportunity to build HR foundations in a growing company, • Mission-driven, intellectually stimulating environment
