Responsibilities


Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment

Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, keeping current with culinary trends
Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently
Train and mentor staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and service standards
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area according to hygiene standards
Assist in the recruitment and performance management of kitchen personnel
Qualifications


Proven experience supervising a professional kitchen, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective team management skills
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
Experience in menu development and food presentation excellence
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and management
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
