Needs a driver, someone over 5'4 and physically fit (would enjoy a brisk 3 mile walk). Would suit someone who has experience of 24 hour shifts (not essential) and personal care.
The criteria are non negotiable, designed to reduce wasted time and derived from prior experience.
Small friendly team - busy but low stress position
Must be happy to "get stuck in", have a "hands on" approach and be adaptable and flexible.
Must like dogs.
One to one in a team of max four. 24 hr shifts in rotation. Private home setting.
All normal household activities and personal care included.
• Helps with self-care, such as toileting, bathing, dressing, brushing teeth, etc.
• Assists with mobility, transferring from one location to another from furniture or car to a wheelchair or vice versa
• Engages in muscle stretching and strengthening exercises as needed to maintain and improve range of movement and mobility
• Dispenses and administers medications as directed
• Any Care and handling required for household pets
Personal Care Assistant Job Skills and Qualifications:
Good sense of humour, Compassion, Interpersonal Skills, Strong Verbal Communication Skills, ability to leave own issues at the door.
Listening Skills, Physical Stamina and Strength, Positive Attitude, Encouraging and tactful where necessary, Trustworthy, Patient, Detail-Oriented, Helpful, Capable of Working with Minimal Supervision, Self-Motivated, Timely, Awareness of Others' Needs (including other members of staff), Ability to care and handle dog and fish (not at the same time).
Have I mentioned......Applicant needs to be over 5'4 physically fit (enjoys a brisk 3 mile walk) and have a "hands on" attitude?🤔🤭
