Production / Machine Operative Witham - Temporary to Permanent £14.13 per hour - increasing with progression. Immediate start available after successful interview Looking for more than just a job? This is a strong opportunity to build a long‑term career in production and machine operation with a growing company based in Witham. Starting on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis, this role focuses on hands‑on production and machine work within a busy manufacturing environment. You'll initially support day‑to‑day production operations and, over time, develop into a skilled machine operative with multiple competencies. Own transport is essential due to the site location and shift times, which are not accessible by public transport. The Role Operating and monitoring production machinery (full training provided) Supporting production lines to ensure smooth, efficient output Handling materials within the production process Carrying out quality checks and following production procedures Maintaining high health & safety and hygiene standards Working collaboratively as part of a close‑knit production team Training & Progression This is a role with genuine development, not just short‑term work. Over 6-12 months, you will: Receive structured training on production machinery and machine operation Progress into a multi‑skilled machine operative role Gain increased responsibility as your technical skills develop Be trained to operate a counterbalance forklift as part of long‑term progression Benefit from pay progression as skills and responsibilities increase Shift Pattern (flexibility required) Week 1: Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm Week 2: Monday-Friday, 3pm-11pm What We're Looking For A strong work ethic and willingness to learn Genuine interest in production and machine operation Good attention to detail and safety awareness Reliability, consistency, and a positive team attitude Own car and full driving licence required due to location and shift work.
