Senior Sourcing Lead | Senior Procurement Lead | Strategic Sourcing Lead \n Port Talbot | Competitive Rate DOE (Inside IR35) | 36.5 Hours per Week | Monday-Friday | 12-Month Contract | Hybrid Working After Training | ASAP Start \n Introduction \n Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Senior Sourcing Lead based in Port Talbot. \n This is initially a 12-month contract, with the potential to extend or lead to a permanent position. The role is office-based, with the opportunity to work remotely two days per week after training. \n The successful candidate will support the management of a multi-billion supply chain globally, delivering a professional procurement service and working closely with internal and external stakeholders. \n The role is due to start ASAP, subject to the successful result of a medical assessment, which includes a drug and alcohol test. \n What We Offer \n\n • \n Competitive rate dependent upon experience, inside IR35. \n • \n Initial 12-month contract with the potential to extend or lead to a permanent position. \n • \n 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. \n • \n Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-4:45pm. \n • \n Friday, 8:30am-3:45pm. \n • \n Opportunity for a 7am start if preferred. \n • \n Remote working two days per week after training. \n • \n Paid holiday of 35 days per annum, including Bank Holidays. \n • \n Advice and editing on your current CV. \n • \n Dedicated team throughout your journey within the role. \n • \n Exclusive online services, including restaurant and retail discounts. \n • \n Chance to receive £300 for referring a friend. \n • \n Opportunity for progression into permanent roles. \n • \n Free access to the Employee Assistance Programme for mental, physical and financial support. \n\n Key Responsibilities \n\n • \n Support the team in managing a multi-billion supply chain globally. \n • \n Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to achieve maximum value and the lowest possible cost base. \n • \n Help achieve commercially robust management of goods, services and materials. \n • \n Source goods, materials and services for Tata Steel that align with Tata's sustainability values. \n • \n Work with Senior Management to ensure the security of goods, materials and services while minimising disruption to business operations. \n • \n Develop, deploy and execute UK commercial contracts. \n • \n Support the tendering process. \n • \n Conduct market research to ensure an appropriate route to market and a fit-for-purpose supply base. \n • \n Deliver a professional procurement service to the business. \n • \n Liaise with stakeholders internally and externally, face-to-face, over the telephone, virtually and via email. \n • \n Create strong business partnerships and act as the go-to for commercial advice, guidance and support with challenges. \n • \n Use SAP and Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint, daily. \n\n Essential Requirements \n\n • \n Strong background within procurement, ideally within Corporate or Facilities Management categories. \n • \n Driving licence and access to your own vehicle due to the size and nature of the site. \n • \n Excellent knowledge of procurement practice and the sourcing process cycle. \n • \n Strong verbal and written communication skills. \n • \n Good IT literacy, particularly Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel. \n • \n SAP experience would be an advantage. \n • \n Sound numeracy skills. \n • \n Ability to use your own initiative and apply a proactive approach to tasks. \n\n Interested? \n If you have a strong background in procurement, strategic sourcing or supply chain management and are interested in this Senior Sourcing Lead opportunity in Port Talbot, apply online today with your CV attached.
