Responsibilities: - Assist the butcher in cutting, trimming, and preparing meat. - Maintain a clean and organized workspace. - Ensure all equipment is properly sanitized. - Assist with inventory management. - Package and label meat products for sale. - Follow all hygiene and safety standards. - Help with unloading and storing meat deliveries. - Sharpen and maintain knives and other tools. - Dispose of waste materials properly. - Assist customers with their inquiries and orders. - Monitor the quality of meat products. - Prepare meat displays in the store. - Help with the preparation of specialty meat products. - Ensure proper storage of meat to prevent spoilage. Requirements: - Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. - Knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques. - Strong understanding of hygiene and safety standards. - Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for long periods. - Good communication skills. - Teamwork skills - Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job. - Attention to detail. - Basic math skills for inventory management.
