    Are you a dedicated, compassionate and caring educator or learning mentor ? If so, why not consider joining our specialist team providing educational and therapeutic support for children and young people with SEN and SEMH needs. You will be used to working with young people with challenging behaviours as a 1:1 Learning Mentor providing specialist educational support to those that are unable to attend mainstream education. Community Support Team CIC is a well-established and respected not for profit organisation working alongside both local authorities and schools to provide children and young people with their education within a community based approach. We provide vital support to vulnerable children and young people both within schools and within the community. We have had successes in helping them reintegrate into a suitable educational settings, which has earned us a great reputation with our referring schools and inclusion teams. Ideal applicants will have experience of working with children and young people with SEND, providing a variety of educational and therapeutic support. This could have been within schools, special schools, residential homes or through youth work. You will have a proven record of providing quality support and using a variety of interventions that can be used to work both as apart of a team and as a lone worker. You will have a solid understanding of safeguarding and legislation in regards to working with children and young people. You will have excellent communication skills both verbally and written to provide quantitative feedback to our referrers and to attend meetings when required. Qualifications: • Experience in special education or related field, • Strong mentoring skills with the ability to guide and motivate individuals You may be required to work outside of your local area as we provide support throughout the Exeter, Cranbrook and surrounding areas. We do not have a fixed base and provide support within the community working with our community partners.
