Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded and ambitious organisation to recruit a talented Group Accountant to join its evolving Group Finance function. This is an outstanding opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded finance professional looking to play a key role in Group consolidation, financial reporting, and ongoing finance transformation initiatives. Reporting directly to the Head of Group Finance, you will gain broad exposure across the business while working closely with senior stakeholders on strategic projects, process improvement, and change activity. The role offers significant visibility, variety, and the opportunity to influence how finance operates within a fast-paced and evolving environment This position is ideally suited to a qualified accountant with strong consolidation experience who enjoys driving improvements, enhancing reporting processes and supporting transformation across a multi-entity Group structure. Key Responsibilities • Lead the preparation of the Group’s consolidated statutory accounts for year-end and half-year reporting, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements., • Manage the monthly Group consolidation process, including intercompany reconciliations, reporting packs, and cash flow reporting., • Prepare statutory financial statements for multiple subsidiary entities across the Group., • Act as the key liaison for external auditors, coordinating annual audits and resolving technical accounting queries., • Support the delivery of finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to streamline processes, strengthen controls, and improve reporting efficiency., • Partner with senior finance leadership on strategic projects, including system enhancements, process automation, and integration activity., • Support technical accounting compliance across the Group, including areas such as IFRS 16, IFRS 2, and emerging accounting standards., • Oversee Companies House filings and ensure all statutory and regulatory submissions are completed accurately and on time., • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and short-term cash flow forecasting processes, driving improvements to reporting models and forecasting accuracy., • Collaborate with Legal, Tax, and Company Secretarial teams on governance, compliance, and corporate structure matters., • Support corporate simplification projects, acquisitions, and post-acquisition integration activity where required. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: • Fully qualified ACCA / CA / ACA / CIMA qualification., • Strong technical accounting expertise with proven experience preparing consolidated financial statements within a Group environment., • Excellent knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements., • Previous exposure to finance transformation, process improvement, or systems implementation projects would be highly advantageous., • Strong analytical skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approach., • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment., • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation., • A collaborative mindset combined with the drive to continuously improve processes and add value.
