    Dear, I am a private chef running a catering company working with private clients in London, Paris and internationally. We are recruiting for a private event for 120 guests on Thursday 10 September and I would be grateful if you could circulate this to your current students and recent graduates. POSITIONS 2 × Chef de Partie — Tuesday 8, Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 September DATES AND HOURS Tuesday 8 September — 10am to 6pm, preparation in a professional kitchen (chefs de partie only) Wednesday 9 September — 10am to 6pm, preparation (chefs de partie only) Thursday 10 September — 9am to midnight, on site : final preparation, plating, service and breakdown (full team) WHAT THE WORK INVOLVES Mise en place to written recipes and quantities, HACCP records and section hygiene, packing and loading for transport, setting up the on-site kitchen, and plating to spec for 120 guests. The kitchen porter role covers wash-up, waste management and breakdown on the event day. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Chef de Partie: minimum 3 years in professional kitchens, ideally fine dining or high-end event catering. Commis: solid professional kitchen experience and speed on mise en place. Kitchen Porter: previous experience in a professional or event kitchen. All candidates need a Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene certificate, the right to work in the UK, own knives and clean whites (chefs), and reliable travel to Acton W3 and to the venue. French-speaking candidates are preferred, as the kitchen brief and service calls are given in French and English.     Location: London Acton, NW10 Hours: 32 + hours a week - 10 - 6pm Pay: £15.50–£17.50 per hour, depending on experience Start: ASAP We are specifically looking for someone with practical experience in these areas, rather than general packing experience. We are looking for an experienced Ready Meal Packer & Batch Manager We are looking for a reliable, experienced and highly organised person to join our ready-meal production team. This is more than a packing role. We need someone who understands food production and can take responsibility for batch control, packing requirements, product identification, production dates, use-by dates and the movement of product through the packing process. You will play an important role in making sure that the right product is packed at the right time, with the correct information and full traceability. Key responsibilities • Manage and monitor daily ready-meal packing requirements., • Ensure the correct product, batch and quantity are available for packing., • Check and accurately record production dates and use-by dates., • Ensure product is correctly identified and controlled throughout the packing process., • Clearly identify and control partially packed product., • Track outstanding packing quantities and ensure they are followed through to completion., • Communicate production information clearly to the packing team., • Maintain accurate batch and traceability records., • Complete and monitor the required checks before product is released for packing or dispatch., • Ensure products are not released where information is incomplete, unclear or requires further verification., • Escalate any uncertainty regarding product status, dates, labelling or food safety., • Work closely with Production, Packing and QA to keep the operation running efficiently., • Maintain a clear and accurate audit trail of production, packing and release activities., • Ensure no product progresses through the operation beyond its approved use-by date. The person we are looking for You will ideally have previous experience in: • Ready-meal production, • Food manufacturing, • Food packing, • Batch or production control, • Food traceability and date control You will need to be: • Highly organised and methodical, • Experienced in working with food products and production batches, • Very attentive to detail, • Comfortable working with production records and packing requirements, • Able to communicate clearly with production, packing and QA, • Reliable and able to take ownership of your responsibilities, • Confident enough to stop and escalatewhen something does not look right, • Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on food production environment Good computer skills and experience using digital production records or spreadsheets would be an advantage, as we are developing a more digital system for production and packing control. Why this role is important This person will become a key link between production, packing and product release. We are looking for someone who doesn't simply complete a task, but takes responsibility for making sure the batch is correctly identified, controlled, packed and recorded from start to finish. This is more than simply a driving position. We purchase vehicles from auctions and dealerships across the UK, so the successful candidate must have a good understanding of cars and be confident carrying out thorough vehicle checks before accepting and collecting a vehicle. Attention to detail is extremely important. Missing significant damage, warning lights, mechanical issues or other faults during a collection could result in a substantial financial loss to the company. 🔍 Vehicle Checks & Responsibilities You will be expected to: • Carry out a thorough inspection before collecting a vehicle., • Check the exterior for dents, scratches, paintwork issues and other damage., • Check wheels, tyres and visible brake condition., • Inspect the interior and identify any damage or missing items., • Check the dashboard for warning lights or fault messages., • Check the vehicle starts, runs and drives correctly., • Identify unusual noises, vibrations or obvious mechanical concerns., • Check vehicle mileage and fuel level., • Check keys, documents and accessories supplied with the vehicle., • Take clear photos and videos documenting the vehicle's condition., • Contact the office immediately if there are any concerns before accepting or leaving with the vehicle., • Safely collect and deliver vehicles to customers, dealerships, auctions and other locations. 🚘 Driving Requirements • Full UK driving licence., • Minimum 5+ years of driving experience., • Must be confident driving both manual and automatic vehicles., • Good knowledge and understanding of cars., • Previous motor trade, vehicle inspection, auction or collection experience is highly desirable., • Good driving record., • Clean DBS check required., • Reliable, responsible and punctual., • Professional when dealing with customers, dealerships and auction staff. 🕐 Working Hours & Travel This role does not have the same start and finish time every day. Depending on collections and deliveries, you may be required to start early or finish later on certain days. Applicants must therefore be flexible with their working hours. Long-distance travel will be required, and you may occasionally be sent to Scotland to collect or deliver a vehicle. There may also be occasional weekend work, although this is rare. 💷 Salary & Expenses Salary will be discussed during the interview and will depend on the candidate's experience and knowledge of the motor trade. All authorised work-related travel expenses will be covered by the company. ⭐ The Right Person We are looking for someone who understands that they are representing the company when collecting a vehicle. You must be trustworthy, observant and confident enough to identify potential problems with a vehicle before collection.
