Setter/ Operator Welder Fabricator- Lates Job Advert We have a vacancy within our Manufacturing Department and are currently recruiting for the role of Setter/ Operator - Welder Fabricator. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation. Location: Accrofab Alcester Limited B49 6EH Shift Pattern: 39 hours per week working the Late Shift; 16.30 to 02.30 Monday to Wednesday and 16.30 to 01.30 Thursdays with designated breaks. Main duties and responsibilities: Responsibilities specific to the role. • Manual TIG welding and fabrication of components to company and customer specification., • Understanding of and safe use of air tools and hand tools, • Read and understand welding symbols as detailed on WPS and Engineering Drawings, • Ability to correctly set components to casting to suit customer specifications, • Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures., • Complete operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels. General responsibilities. • Comply with all company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and report any concerns to supervision., • Read and understand the requirements on the Job Card for the operation to be carried out., • Ensure that all the documentation required to carry out the operation in accordance with the Job Card is available at the point of use and at the correct revision., • Read and understand all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation, this includes Machine and Tooling Set Up Packs as required, Engineering Drawings, Data Cards, Inspection Plans etc., • Use of all measuring equipment as necessary to check conformance to requirements., • Carry out in process inspection in accordance with requirements to ensure that components are conforming prior to passing on to subsequent operations., • Ensure that components identified as non-conforming during in process inspection are identified and communicated in accordance with the Non-Conformance Procedure., • Complete all work booking requirements within the MRP system to ensure accurate WIP records., • Follow work handling and storage instructions to prevent damage to components., • Support Root Cause Analysis activities when non-conformance occurs to prevent reoccurrence., • Carry out and record all TPM activities in accordance with the specified schedule for the equipment being operated., • Ensure that work areas are tidy, cleaned and maintained in accordance with 5S requirements., • Engage and contribute to Continuous Improvement activities to maximise efficiency., • Comply with all company procedures and policies. Person Specification: • 1/2 years experience in the Aerospace Industry/ Engineering/ Manufacturing/ a similar role is desirable, • Must become familiar with quality & manufacturing standards and maintain and achieve specified targets and objectives in line with business requirements, • Required to produce acceptable first offs "right first time", • Train and coach fellow colleagues to suit the business requirements, • Positive, can do attitude, • Takes full ownership of their area of responsibility, • Disciplined and self-motivated, • Has a strong teamwork and supportive mentality We are looking for a candidate who embodies our core values of respect, integrity, health, safety, and excellence.
