Location: Norwich Salary: £30,000 to £33,000 per annum Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 to 17:00 Contract Type: Permanent Full Time This role will be responsible for supporting the day‑to‑day management of the client space across 2 floors of a multi‑tenant building located on a business park. Daily activities include liaison with the client on‑site to ensure all services are delivered and enquiries are addressed, as well as management of sub‑contractors, liaison with the landlord’s on‑site team, porterage duties, ensuring kitchen hubs and workspaces remain clean and tidy, and delivering consumables across the floors. • Maintain records of activities and report any issues that may impact SLA’s ahead of target., • Support the technical team with general maintenance works as required., • Undertake sufficient training to gain knowledge of the systems required to facilitate the position., • Escalate all feedback for quick resolution., • Communicate effectively with colleagues to prioritise work, encourage excellent feedback and formulate minutes of meetings between contractors., • Manage day‑to‑day inventory and stock control – control all stock from goods inwards to dispatch, maintain stock levels, source material and tooling for all related technical jobs., • Process orders and deliver spare parts, components and lab equipment; distribute parts to technicians; load and unload deliveries., • Source, develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors., • Adhere to all EFS and client processes for laboratory conditions., • Contribute to the smooth running of the laboratories by carrying out a range of non‑project procedures., • Ensure maximum stock levels at all times and reduce downtime caused by lack of available stock., • Paint interior and exterior areas; repair wall damage and fill small cracks/holes; repair wallpaper damage., • Handle any ad‑hoc maintenance requests and minimise client disruptions., • Assess porterage jobs and complete relevant H&S risk assessments, brief staff and ensure awareness of responsibilities., • Sort, deliver and collect post across the site as directed by the Site Manager., • Move office furniture and equipment, complying with manual handling, risk assessments and method statements., • Move stores and equipment, complying with manual handling, risk assessments, method statements and client‑specific access permits and move‑store procedures., • Re‑configure meeting and conference‑room furniture and equipment as directed., • Carry out and complete porterage help desk tasks, including PPM and reactive tasks as instructed., • Perform minor mechanical and handyman tasks., • Provide assistance to third parties as and when required., • Act upon reasonable requests and instructions from Site Supervisor, Contracts Manager and Client., • Assist on other sites as expected., • Work reasonable overtime as and when required., • Physically capable of undertaking a range of manual activities on an office and laboratory R&D site., • IT literate – essential for spreadsheets, databases and general word applications., • Ability to multitask and work independently., • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate others., • Willing to learn new skills and disseminate knowledge to team members., • Understanding of Facilities Management is desired., • Exemplary customer service skills., • Remains calm under pressure., • Effective organisational skills., • 25 days holidays + bank holidays., • Holiday Buy Scheme – up to 5 days a year., • Industry‑leading maternity & paternity policies., • Refer a Friend scheme – worth £500 per referral., • GEMS – internal recognition scheme with vouchers for Amazon and retail/dining., • Extensive learning & development opportunities, including progression., • Access to flex benefits: discount shopping, gym, mobile, family activities, insurance, dining experience, car leasing and breakdown cover., • Bike to work scheme., • Paid volunteering and charity days., • Medicash – health cash plan covering dental, optical, physiotherapy and well‑being. #J-18808-Ljbffr
