As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking an ambitious Assistant Estimator to join their pre-construction team and develop a long-term career within the cladding and faades industry.The RoleAs Assistant Estimator, you will be responsible for:Assisting with the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for cladding and faade projectsReviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documentationProducing quantity take-offs and assisting with cost plansObtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractorsSupporting the preparation of tender submissions and pricing schedulesAssisting with value engineering exercises and identifying cost-saving opportunitiesWorking closely with the estimating, commercial, and design teams throughout the tender processMaintaining accurate tender documentation and estimating recordsBuilding strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clientsSupporting project handovers to the commercial and operational teams following successful tendersThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Assistant Estimator will have:Previous experience in an estimating, quantity surveying, or construction support roleExperience within cladding, faades, roofing, glazing, or the wider construction industry would be advantageousStrong numerical and analytical skillsThe ability to interpret construction drawings and specificationsExcellent communication and organisational skillsA proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and developGood IT skills, including Microsoft ExcelRelevant construction, estimating, or quantity surveying qualifications would be advantageousWhat's on OfferCompetitive basic salary of £30,000 - £40,000Attractive benefits packageOpportunity to join a growing and highly respected specialist contractorStructured training and ongoing professional developmentExposure to high-profile cladding and faade projects across the UKLong-term career progression within an expanding businessSupportive and collaborative pre-construction teamApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
