Job Title: Architectural Technologist\n Location: Leeds\n Salary: £30,000 - £35,000\n\nAbout the Studio\n\nA RIBA Chartered architecture and interior design studio with offices in Leeds and London, working across commercial, residential, mixed-use, energy centres, and building safety/cladding remediation. Their ethos: the best architecture balances creativity with commercial reality. Following a move into a new central Leeds studio, they are growing to meet an exciting project pipeline.\n\nThe Role\n\nAn experienced Architectural Technologist is needed to join the Leeds studio, delivering technically excellent projects from planning through to construction. You'll work closely with architects and project leads to produce high-quality, coordinated technical information across a varied portfolio.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPrepare and coordinate technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation across all RIBA stages\nProduce and manage Revit models and drawing packages, ensuring accuracy and consultant coordination\nDevelop technical details in line with Building Regulations, planning conditions, and UK construction standards\nSupport planning and Building Regulations applications\nLiaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure information is complete and coordinated\nCarry out site visits, resolve technical queries, and produce site reports\nContribute to design reviews and project meetings\nAssist with NBS specifications and quality management processes\nSupport junior team membersEssential Requirements\n\nMinimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as an Architectural Technologist in a UK practice\nRevit proficiency - essential\nSolid knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning processes, and construction methodologies\nExperience producing technical packages and specifications across multiple RIBA stages\nDegree or equivalent in Architectural Technology or related discipline\nStrong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple deadlines\nExcellent communication and collaborative working skillsDesirable\n\nMCIAT membership or working towards CIAT chartership\nExperience in commercial, mixed-use, or residential development\nFamiliarity with cladding remediation or building safety (EWS1, Building Safety Act)\nKnowledge of energy centre or infrastructure projects\nAutoCAD experience\nNBS Chorus or equivalent specification platform knowledgeWhat's on Offer\n\nVaried portfolio spanning commercial, residential, energy, and building safety sectors\nHybrid working\n37.5-hour week with a positive work-life balance ethos\nCentral Leeds studio in a recently refurbished space\nCompetitive salary, commensurate with experience\nCPD support and CIAT chartership support\nCollaborative, non-hierarchical team cultureCalibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
