Project Engineer Contract starting ASAP until 31/12/2026 Woolavington, Bridgwater Inside IR35 Project Details and Duration The project involves a 400/132 kV substation, with the team recently mobilised on site. Current activities include installing the overhead lighting “danties,” followed by civil works. The project is expected to continue until 2029. The initial contract is expected to start on 2nd March and run through to December 2026, with the possibility of a six-month extension based on performance and project needs. Role and Responsibilities We are seeking a Power Project Engineer to join the team. The role initially focuses on heavy civil works, offering exposure to a wide variety of tasks. Once fully underway, the position will evolve into a traditional Project Engineer role. The ideal candidate will: • Coordinate multiple work packages and maintain an overall project perspective., • Operate with the foresight of an Assistant Project Manager., • Bring prior experience as a Senior Project Engineer or equivalent. Required Experience and Qualifications Candidates should hold the following qualifications: • Earthing Control Person (ECP), • Earthing Application Person (EAP) Working Conditions • Hours: 45-hour week, Monday to Friday, • Typical Schedule: 07:30 – 17:00, • Location: On-site, • No planned evenings or weekend work Company information At First Recruitment Group we understand just how important it is to secure the right people.
