Legal Secretary - Private Wealth & Succession\n\nSalary: Circa £30,000 (DOE) + Bonus \n Location: Bradford (hybrid working) \n Hours: Mon-Fri, flexible working hours available\n\nFull-time, Permanent Position\n\nOur client is seeking an experienced and highly organised Legal Secretary to join their Private Wealth & Succession Department. This role provides comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to lawyers within the team, ensuring a high standard of service is delivered to clients across matters such as Wills, Probate, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail‑focused, and confident working within a busy private client environment, supporting fee earners while maintaining strong client relationships and upholding professional standards.\n\nThe Key Responsibilities of the Legal Secretary:\n\nProvide audio and copy typing support across a range of Private Client matters including Wills, Trusts, Probate, and Powers of Attorney\nPrepare general correspondence using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and other software\nMaintain accurate and efficient document management using the firm's electronic document management system\nAssist with the preparation of IHT forms, LPA documentation, Wills, and online Probate applications\nProduce billing documentation, financial reports, and support effective credit control\nProvide full diary management for lawyers, assisting with overall file organisation\nHandle basic client enquiries appropriately in the absence of lawyers (without providing legal advice)\nManage incoming correspondence and ensure urgent matters are escalated appropriately during lawyer absence\nHelp maintain effective, professional client relationships\nProvide typing and administrative support to other teams and departments when required\nCarry out routine administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, post handling, and filingThe Key Requirements of the Legal Secretary:\n\nEssential Skills & Experience:\n\nProven experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a Private Client or similar practice area\nExcellent IT skills, including digital dictation and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)\nFast and accurate typing skills\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to plan ahead and manage priorities\nConfident working independently and using initiative\nExcellent communication skills with empathy and sensitivity when dealing with clients\nAbility to work accurately, methodically, and in line with established procedures\nComfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines\nProfessional, confidential, and discreet approachPersonal Attributes:\n\nApproachable and friendly with strong relationship‑building skills\nCollaborative team player\nAdaptable, flexible, and responsive to change\nAmbitious mindset with a commitment to producing high‑quality work \n\nSearch is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age
