Support Worker – Adult Residential Home Central Bedfordshire Shift pattern: Flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and nights 7:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm - 9:00pm / 7:00 am – 9:00pm / 9:00pm – 7:00am Pay Rate: £16 - £18 Per hour Nocturnal Recruitment Solutions are seeking experienced and dedicated Support workers to support adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments., • Support residents with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing., • Promote independence, confidence, and social inclusion through tailored support and meaningful engagement., • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent, coordinated, and effective care delivery., • Maintain accurate records of care provided, observations, and any changes in residents’ health or behaviour., • Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns promptly, ensuring residents’ safety and compliance with regulatory standards., • Develop strong professional relationships with residents, families, and colleagues, ensuring clear communication and a positive environment., • Contribute to the development and review of individual care plans, ensuring they remain responsive to residents’ evolving needs., • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills, knowledge, and quality of care. Requirements: • Minimum 1 year experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, or physical/sensory impairments, • Understanding of person-centred care principles, • Strong communication and teamwork skills, • Valid DBS within the last 12 months (preferably on the update service) or willingness to complete a new one, • Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude, • Flexibility to work across shifts, including evenings, weekends, and nights, • Knowledge of positive behaviour support or sensory care techniques, • Must be happy to provide personal care Step into a role where you can lead by example and transform the lives of adults with complex needs every day
