Job Salary: £27,000 – £31,000 Job Location : Renfrew An established and rapidly expanding organisation is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Assistant Buyer to join its busy and developing purchasing team. The company has recently acquired an additional business, significantly increasing its product portfolio and creating new opportunities across the department. As the team takes on higher volumes and broader responsibilities, this role is ideal for someone eager to build their buying career within a supportive environment that encourages growth and development. You will support daily procurement activity, working across a high volume of tasks, engaging with suppliers, and assisting in maintaining strong commercial performance. Experience with ERP systems is important — Epicor is used internally, but strong competency with any ERP platform is welcome. Good general IT skills are essential. • You will be involved in buying various commodities for the organisation, • Conducting vendor reviews and supporting supplier performance, • Completing KPI reviews and tracking departmental metrics, • Building and maintaining supplier stakeholder relationships, • Attending supplier meetings and supporting commercial discussions, • Following up on ITT documentation and related processes, • Updating and maintaining accurate data within the ERP system, • Managing a high volume of workflow with strong organisation, • Motivated, enthusiastic person eager to develop professionally, • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities, • Strong communication and engagement skills, • Confident IT user with the ability to learn systems quickly, • A proactive approach with a strong desire to contribute and grow, • On‑site: 5 days per week (flexibility on an exceptions basis), • Working hours: 08:30–17:00 (with 4pm finish on one weekday), • Free on‑site parking, • 25 days holiday + 8 public holidays, • Christmas closure, • Half‑day holiday for your birthday, • Pension: 3% employer contribution, • Long service vouchers, • Supportive working environment
