Job Title: Senior Credit ControllerLocation: RochdaleSalary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annumJob Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Office-Based) Client Details We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Credit Controller to join an experienced and competent Credit Control team based in Rochdale. You will play a key role in managing the company's credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining strong relationships with clients. Description The key responsibilities of a Senior Credit Controller will include: • Managing a portfolio of customer accounts and maintaining strong client relationships, • Chasing overdue invoices via phone, email, and written correspondence, • Reducing aged debt and ensuring timely cash collection, • Assessing credit risk and setting or reviewing customer credit limits, • Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts, • Investigating and resolving invoice queries and disputes, • Producing aged debt reports and monitoring debtor days, • Supporting cash flow forecasting and financial reporting, • Working closely with sales and operations teams to resolve account issues, • Escalating high-risk or non-paying accounts when necessary, • Negotiating payment plans with customers, • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, • Assisting with month-end and year-end processes, • Ensuring compliance with company policies and credit procedures The Successful Senior Credit Controller will have: • Previous experience in a Credit Controller role, • Strong communication and negotiation skills, • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability, • Confident using accounting systems and Strong Microsoft Excel skills - Pivots and V/X lookups, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, • Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills Job Offer • A salary up to £33,000 per annum, • Full time office based working, • Free on site car parking, • Generous annual leave entitlement, • Pension / Life assurance, • Company discounts, • Opportunity to develop within an established finance team
