The closing date is 30 April 2026 Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a leading acute care provider in Surrey. We have a new anaesthesia fellowship, ideal for candidates wishing to develop sub‑specialty interests and enhance their CVs for ST4 or consultant applications. The fellowship runs from August 2025 for 6–12 months, depending on preferences. Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience in anaesthesia and critical care, and be able to cover on‑calls in theatres, labour ward and intensive care with distant supervision. • Provide peri‑operative care in your sub‑specialty area under consultant supervision., • Carry out pre‑operative assessment, including work in high‑risk clinics and presentation in MDT meetings., • Deliver teaching to the department and wider multidisciplinary team., • Provide 1‑in‑8 rota cover in theatres, obstetrics or intensive care with distant supervision., • Work on quality improvement and service development projects., • Collaborate with colleagues and the multidisciplinary team to maintain high standards of patient‑focused care., • Support the Trust’s objectives and values., • Primary medical degree (MBBS or equivalent)., • Full GMC registration with licence to practice., • Postgraduate qualifications in anaesthesia, e.g. FRCA., • Minimum 2 years experience in anaesthesia and critical care., • Experience working with distant supervision in theatres, labour ward and intensive care., • Evidence of CPD activities related to anaesthesia., • Evidence of Initial Assessment of Competencies (IAC) and Initial Assessment of Competencies in Obstetric Anaesthesia (IACOA)., • Ability to anaesthetise ASA 1 and 2 patients independently for emergency surgery with distant supervision., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Ability to work constructively in a multi‑disciplinary team., • Competent in the use of IT/computer systems., • Demonstrated alignment with the Trust Values and exemplify them at an exemplary level., • Evidence of leadership and management activities., • Evidence of teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level. £65 048 per annum, plus £149 HCA and additional rota payments. #J-18808-Ljbffr
