We are a job agency working with restaurants, hospitality venues and private events. You may receive assignments at different venues depending on your availability and our clients' requirements. Pay: • £13.70 per hour, • Weekly payments, • Tips may be available depending on the venue Responsibilities: • Welcoming and assisting guests, • Taking food and drink orders, • Serving food and beverages, • Clearing and resetting tables, • Preparing tables before service, • Communicating with kitchen and front-of-house teams, • Providing professional and friendly customer service, • Following venue service standards, • Keeping the working area clean and organised, • Helping the team during busy service periods, • Following health, safety and hygiene requirements Requirements: • Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in hospitality, • Good spoken English, • Professional appearance and attitude, • Reliable and punctual, • Right to work in the UK, • Must be registered as self-employed / sole trader, or currently completing registration, • Able to travel to different venues across London, • Black hospitality uniform may be required for some assignments What we offer: • Flexible shifts, • £13.70 per hour, • Weekly payments, • Assignments at different restaurants and hospitality venues, • Ability to choose whether you accept an available assignment, • Opportunity to work with different venues across London, • Potential tips depending on the venue How it works: Life in the UK Job Agency receives staffing requests from restaurants and hospitality venues. With approximately 120 employees, we are looking for an experienced and highly organised Senior Payroll and Accounts Officer to manage our payroll and day-to-day finance functions. This role would particularly suit an experienced payroll manager, finance officer, bookkeeper, or retired/semi-retired accountant seeking a rewarding and flexible part-time position. Key Responsibilities • Manage weekly and monthly payroll for approximately 120 employees, • Ensure accurate PAYE, National Insurance, pension, and HMRC submissions., • Administer workplace pensions and auto-enrolment., • Process staff expenses and travel claims., • Maintain purchase and sales ledgers., • Raise invoices and reconcile customer payments., • Carry out bank reconciliations., • Monitor cash flow, debtor balances, and credit control., • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports., • Liaise with the external accountant regarding month-end and year-end accounts., • Maintain accurate payroll and financial records., • Ensure compliance with HMRC, employment legislation, and financial procedures., • Identify opportunities to improve payroll and financial processes. Essential Requirements • At least 5 years' experience in payroll and accounts., • Strong knowledge of PAYE, RTI, pensions, and HMRC regulations., • Experience using payroll and accounting software such as BrightPay, Xero, or QuickBooks., • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills., • High level of accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail., • Excellent organisational and communication skills., • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. Desirable • AAT qualification or equivalent., • Experience within the health or social care sector., • Knowledge of payroll for shift workers and variable-hour employees.
