Integrated Maintenance, Repair & Development Services (IMRDS) Alliance - Part of the Anglian Water network, focuses on infrastructure maintenance work and is responsible for: water network pressure management, finding and fixing leaks, replacing lead pipes and repairing burst mains. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Asset Health Team as an Asset Health Technician. Using Anglian Water's mapping, modelling and remote monitoring systems, the Asset Health Technicians use their extensive technical skills to understand, analyse, fault-find, develop and deliver solutions for water network configuration queries and anomalies. They interpret data and ensure data quality, improving the understanding of the way our distribution system delivers water through treatment, storage and delivery - right up to the customer's tap. The Asset Health Technicians also work closely with field, design and planning teams to promote schemes and interventions as well as co-ordinating safe and cost-effective investigations across the region. Reporting to the Asset Health Manager, you'll deliver business processes and build strong working relationships within the Water Business Stream and other Business Units to develop, understand and gain support, for network configuration requirements and implications. This is a desk-based role. What does it take to be an Asset Health Technician? • Understand water network configuration, • Delivering asset designs that take account of commissioning, maintenance, operation and retirement, • Support the delivery of PoSWSH processes relating to the laying and commissioning of mains with specific focus on visibility and control from concept to connection ("For Construction" drawings, "Connection Forms", "As-Laid" drawings), • Understand Supply & District Meters, Control Valves, Rezones, Cross Connections, Abandoning Assets and upgrading Hydraulic Restrictions, • Create/merge DZs and DMAs - including the updates to the corporate registers, • Utilising the full range of GIS & hydraulic software, plus deployment of field investigations, resolve network anomalies, • Educated to ONC level (or equivalent) or have suitable experience in a technical role, • Operational (field/office) experience desirable but not necessary - preferably in water distribution systems, • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail, • Logical, well-organised approach to problem solving, • Take pride in delivering high quality work completing tasks accurately, • Bonus scheme, • Private healthcare, • Competitive pension scheme, • Up to 26 days annual leave, increasing with length of service, • Flexible benefits to support your wellbeing If you are a motivated and experienced leader ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role, we would love to hear from you.
